well my itr was stolen on 10/12/06 has not been recovered as of today , progresive ins called me this morning there ready to settle , there first offer
15,xxx dollars original yellow itr with 19k miles on it ..
they dont want to value the car with any miles because in 2005 had 13k and i dont have prove of any service or oil changes done by jiffy duffs lubes sorry i get confused ,like i was going to take the car there to have a minimum wage kid rag my car down the block to check and make sure my oil level was correct
so the battle begins , my car by car fax report had 8k miles in late 2002 when sold and 13k in 2005 thats an average of 3200 miles a year they want to value it at 27k miles or no miles at all
now i need a private apraiser where can i find one in florida ???any ideas
with 15k i can even buy me a 100k mile itr shit for 15k i may not be able to by a rebuilt tile one
and i sumited to them proof of replacement cars 4 sale on cars.com and auto trader.com 1 for $24,900 10k miles , one for $23,500 with 33k miles and a 2000 with 25k miles for $24000
the little bucks you save by goin with a cheap ins company will hurt you in the long run when it's time to make a claim, for saving some bucks in my yearly policy looks like i may loose some big $$$$ now ....
now am more pist off than when i found out it was stolen ...
and good luck trying to get a hold of a supervisor in these cheap ins companys
THE BATTLE WITH INSURANCE COMPANY BEGINS

Sorry to hear of your loss. It hurts to hear of an ITR being stolen, especially a low mileage one.
Don't settle! Even if they drag it out for awhile, don't give in. I wouldn't take less than $20k for it. That's a good figure for a low mileage R like yours.
For your own FYI, those higher priced ITRs you've seen, they've been listed for quite sometime with no buyers for those prices. You need not tell Progressive this.
Would you be willing to share with us the VIN and badge number of the caR? If the shell is ever recovered and someone wanted to rebuild heR, it'd be nice to reunite those numbers. A couple of us are trying to keep a list of stolen VINs/Badge#s. It may even help with tracking stolen parts. Thank you.
Again, sorry for your loss. I hope the police find something.

If I were you, I'd go off the mileage average. Yes, it's lower than what you had but it's WAY better than "no mileage" And your examples of cars in that range prove it's worth. Show them as many close examples that you can. If they still are having a hard time, just mention politely about your lawyer. Most times, just the mention of one will get them moving.
Well that or tell them to go find you a clean titled on to replace yours with on their budget. See what they can come up with.
GL either way man, sorry to hear about your loss.
