Here's a personal message from BudMan...

The reason I put this page together, was I was so impressed with the replacement distributor that I purchased from Pat Richardson's "Distributor King" ebay store. I have 106,000 miles on my Type R that also sees the Track several times a year for road courses, autocrosses, and the occaisional drag-strip (2 time Kansas City Sport Compact Challenge bracket winner).

A few months ago, my distributor shot craps when the bearing went out! After finding out an Acura OEM replacement distributor was ~ $500!!!! Another Honda-tech brother let me know about Pat's store. Not only was the quality of their distributor better...it was cheaper!

I'll let you decide for yourself, but please consider Pat's store. I haven't collected a penny for writing this up. I'm doing it because I believe in his product. Now it's time for you to check it out.

UPDATE 02/01/04: I now have 111,000 miles on my car which are primarily HPDE (track days). Obviously running 20-30 minute sessions on a road-course are much more punishing than setting at a stop light. I have had absolutely NO TROUBLE with my Distributor King distributor. Purchase one today & save yourself some $$ & receive better quality than a factory replacement. PLUS - you can use stock rotor buttons & caps during normal maintenance.
