Three words.... secure overnight parking!
And never leaving it on the street for an extended period of time(like 2 or 3 hours).. and using the club.
Never had a single problem(madly touching every piece of wood I can find!)

30 years down the road, there's gonna be a line of Type R's on the 18th hole at the Pebble Beach Concours... they just might deduct some points for a JDM front end. Personally I think the JDM front end looks better, but I'm gonna keep my car the way it is. If I was really serious about it, I'd get a...

Snookerblack, Do you think they will bring the new type r over to the states.. I've asked all dealers and they told me no and one told me yea by 2004 sometime.. I'm thinking they won't bring it becuase the RSX type S will lose out on buyers.. at least not for now.... I agree. I think they gave us t...

I'm seriously considering getting the EVO too.. but for whatever reasons, Canada hasn't got them yet. I love my R too, but I'm not a die-hard. I want the rawest, stiffest most powerful stock road car available(hence my R). Can't wait to drive one.

The "RSX-Type R" is on sale in Japan.. I would say the RSX-Type R is the better car. It's just the natural evolution of our cars.. Of course some people will complain about the styling, but that's a given. I trust Honda to make the best stuff on the road. If it was brought over here, I'd p...

The ITR is at home on a road course, not on the drag strip. The WRX Sti has a ton of thrust, grip and generally has a lot going for it... The regular WRX, not so much so. I'd also take a look at the Mitsubishi EVO..

I would think the only place to find that red rear seat would be to phone around to Canadian Acura dealers... but even if they could get one their prices must be crazy!!!

Re: Difference Between A '98 And '01?

What exactly is the difference in all aspects between a '98 and '01 ITR? I know that in '98 all Integras got the facelift and the Canadian '01 Type-R got the Red rear seat but that's all I know of. Your expertise is well appreciated. I didnt know the 01 Canadian ITR received a red rear seat? Matchi...

My Canadian '01 had no air con, an imobilizer(a very great thing!), red front and rear seats. I've heard in various places that there was a slight difference mechanically to the engine but I'm not sure. You'll probably get yelled at for asking a question like this because some other people asked sim...

Anybody out there sure about this? Since they did sell them from '97 through '01, it couldn't have been that bad could it?

Re: RSX TYPE-R

I just hope honda/acura(who has been pretty quiet about the import scene in years past) doesn't start second guessing what people in that scene want. It makes me nervous seeing that honda civic comercial with the fast and furious overtones. I can imagine a bunch of suits at Honda America putting out...
