Visiting Portland, Or.

I was down visiting in Portland Oregon this weekend and dicided to hit up the last drag event at Portland International Raceway's on Friday (Halloween Night)... I noticed a FBP ITR running at this evening and was just curious if they were apart of this board.. Whoever it was can still get better wit...

Re: Has anybody clayed their car before?

I just clayed my car last weekend actually... worked wonders on my paint. I ended up spending more than I anticipated though... Ended up buy Miquires (sp?) body shop clay bars and there final touch spray which totalled around $35.00.. though it'll last me a while so in the long run it'll be worth it...

launch a bit higher (idealy around 5500-6500) for the better times... you'll ideally want to spin through your 60's but not too much further.

Re: Using CTR cams on B18C5....

Correct me if I'm wrong, though 2000-2001 ITR cams are identical to the CTR's I beleive so there wouldn't be any reason to change them.. a better question might be, "is it really worth buying 00-01 ITR cams if you are currently running the 97-98 cams? Is there a noticable difference between the...

Re: Does power shifting really help ...???

power shifting is faster, thus harder on the tranny. It all depends on how fast you actually shift in general... I wouldn't recommend power shifting on the street every where you go... My personally I granny shift on the street and power shift when I'm on the drag strip. If you can shift fast enough...

quick internal question?

I'm selling some pistons and rods from my previous motor and was asked if I'd trade for something equal of valve like internal stuff such as valvetrain, etc.. He said was he can get valvetrain, valves, etc.. so I'm assuming he's a shop owner or something that gets good prices on the parts. I asked h...

I'm fairly sure my timings at 16 right now since I haven't changed anything. However I am very consitant with my times (help by hondata) so we'll see how it works out. I'm gonna change to 18 today before I head to the track. BUT...I'll be running on Azenis tires this time instead of factory michelin...

I'd get a good alarm, honostly thats about all you can do really.. I mean, you can spend tons on all these security advices, but bottom line is, if the thieves want the car that bad, they're gonna take it whether it has a alarm, bodyguards, or chained to a military tank... Best think to do is make s...

usually they're gonna rub when you crank the wheel all the way and try to pull a U-Turn. How low are you? Try slowing down a little bit when you make the hard turn..

18 degree timing

I've been seeing and reading a lot of posts where they are listing how they ran there faster times at the track and one of the things they mention is "18 degree timing" so I was wondering if this really works? Have any of you adjusted your distributor timing (I'm guessing thats what there ...

great times Erik... Congrats!

btw: your E/T has nothing to do with the overall run time you get. E/T's only matter in bracket racing.

Re: Help!!!!!!

practice, practice, practice... you can't expect a great overall run the first few times you go to the track... With your setup (at least in your post) I'd launch at a higher RPM prolly around 4500-5000. You'll want spinout up to about your 60ft mark... Depending on what actual Falken tire you have,...

15-20psi on a stock block!?!?! Are you serious, dude thats not gonna last too long, especially at 20psi. I'd start saving or hope you have enough money to replace the block when it breaks... you've got more balls then I running that much boost through the motor (kept internally stock). Good Luck

Hmmm Sounds like you are having a problem with your Car some how. I'd go to the Fuel rail. Could be dumping more fule than what is needed and killing the spark. Re: You think your R is slow Typeruz?

drag race or circuit race theres no way in hell a prelude should even be able to touch you in a R. If you're losing in a R to a prelude, you shouldn't have baughten the R cause you need to learn how to drive first. If you can't drive you'll be wasting the valve and performance of the R... The R was ...
