To stay on topic, and considering your age... the GSR is a great car but will seriously dent the pocket book in the insurance category... The honda hatch will obviously be quite a bit cheaper insurance wise and by swapping in even a b16 it'll be quite a bit faster than the stock GSR overall... Depen...

works for me,but everytime I look at my big honkin calipers behind my wheel I can't see going any smaller than 15s but you can call them if ya want :) ,by the way I had a 99si civic for two years and loved it and I think your set up is pretty damn cool, something I definitly woulda done if I blew up...

you can run 13's on any SI or GSR with spacers. ITR brakes are a good bit bigger. you need 15's These Lenso's can be ran on the GSR/SI's without the wheel spacers... How about this, I'll call in the morning and see what they say about the Lenso fitting on the ITR's and then we'll know a solid answer.

i was going with the s100 system, but damn you guys got me thinking about the s200 now. Is the launch control and FTS worth the extra $125? (BTW I wont be tuning it myself) If you're going to be going to the drag strip often and your serious about cutting down times then I'd say its a great investm...

I have and use the hondata launch limiter and full throttle shifts ONLY at the track... Works really well actually... the only comment I would say though about the launching control is that you don't wanna completely floor the gas pedal sitting in launch mode (if you N/A) cause it'll make you bog ou...

My car got broken into
...and luckily not my honda (at least not that I know of yet). Beleive it or not the 1976 beater rattle canned and so jimmy rigged toyota celica has been devirginized by some "very desperate" car vandel. I stayed with my girlfriend last night, woke up this morning to go to work and the car...

It's all the driver buddy... I ran 13.5 stock with the ITR motor in a heavier 99-00 SI coupe than the actual Type R chasis. You'll need slicks or a good set of drag radials to accomplish your goal, though its very duable... My mods where as listed below... * Distributor Timing set at 18 degree's * A...

Not to change the topic from Skunk2 or Toda cams, though have you ever thought about RM M22's All Motor Package? $969.00 for the entire kit which includes (M22 Camshafts, Dual Valve Springs, Ti-Retainers *specs below*)... Camshafts sold alone would be $700.00 shipped. M22 Camshafts --> 284 duration ...

Don't ever post any personal info on this site. Thieves are everywhere. No kidding... Specially being a R owner... Hopefully you won't have any un-expected guess from that short post... Also another word advice (maybe I'm just paranoid) but meeting up with new friends also, I wouldn't tell them whe...

Sorry that was so long. I have avoided hashing this out here but Eric you seem dead set on recommending Exedy clutches. They suck in Type-R and Tony who wrote above has one in a Civic SI and it has little to no problems most days. It might work in your car but doesn't do well in ours. Well that mak...

Alright, so it seems like I should keep it at 6psi until i get the pistons/rods. Then i'll try 9 psi and that's where i'll stay. Good Idea... If you want my opinion since I've been there done that before... I wouldn't even bother using the block guard... (plus its not worth pulling the head just to...
