Re: air entry for the stock intake
Where is this resonator and what does it look like?
I haven't changed anything since I took delivery of the car, so that must mean I still have the resonator?

air entry for the stock intake
I still have the stock intake. Where is the initial entry of air into the stock air box? I followed the tube down and can't, for the life of me, see where the hell the air is getting into the tube before the air box. Is it grabbing it from the fender; I can't see it. I read some literature on the IT...

Re: cap and rotor; spark plugs
My car came with platinum plugs which are supposed to last like 90,000 miles. Why does the maintenance schedule, here on this site, say to change them out so much sooner?

Re: tranny oil
So, the honda MTF is good with our LSDs, or do we need to supplement with an additive.

cap and rotor; spark plugs
The maintenance schedule in my owners manual says to change these items at around 90,000 miles.
Other sources, here, mention much more frequent intervals.
Anybody care to shed some light on this.

Re: tranny oil
I have used redline MTL in other sports cars.
It's rated at 70w80, I believe. Is this the important aspect that must be considered? Or, it doesn't matter what brand as long it's declared manual transmission fluid?
I don't have any issues with the trans; just way over due.

It's time for me to change my transmission oil.
What are you guys using?
Should I just get the stuff from the dealer?

Re: any power to be gained by deleting the cat
thanks for your response
So, simply deleting the cat wouldn't be worth it?
Another words, butt dyno couldn't feel it?

Re: any power to be gained by deleting the cat
but it's best when coupled together with other mods, and then tuned so that all components compliment one another. What other mods, for instance? And those that are doing the full headers and exhaust, is cat delete part of the program? I still think that the cat must be the single biggest restricti...

any power to be gained by deleting the cat
Does modifying the exhaust give any real gains on the ITR? I hear that the factory brought everything together as a well tuned system. Modifying the exhaust might not do too much; or are there always gains to be had with changing the exhaust? What is it that's actually happening? Are we reducing bac...

Re: Maintenance schedule inconsistency
A lot of people track their cars, and drive outside of "normal" driving. Being that it is, most replace things sooner than recomended. I change plugs every second oil change. On the street car that is, so every 12k miles. Well yes, I can understand that. However, as far as the valve adjus...

Maintenance schedule inconsistency
Hey guys and gals; new to this forum but have owned a 2000 ITR since new. I noticed in the maintenance section, here, there are a few items listed that are inconsistant with the owners manual; Example in my owners manual which is quite different than here: spark plug replacement at around 90k miles,...
