Re: FS/FT: 15" Spoon SW388s w/ RE-11s
Hi,
Where are you located and I have '01 factory gunmetal Type R wheels in good shape with 3 month old Toyo T1R's (195/55/15) mounted. How much extra money would you want for a trade with the Spoon wheels?
Thanks,
Scott

Looks like there's a nice black 2000 Type R in San Diego in the AutoTrader for $12,900 with 90k on it.

Re: Jam nut size for valve adjustment?
Hey, thanks for the confirmation with 10mm... time to order the snap-on tool and get the feeler gauges out along with a new valve cover gasket.

Thanks for finding and posting that great article! I printed it out and put it in my Type R folder to read again in the future.

Re: Thoughts on possible replacements for TypeR?
I really like the new Mini Cooper S, especially the John Cooper Works version. It's as quick as the Type R, has a small rear seat, gets better mileage, brakes well and handles almost as good. I still prefer my Integra though... especially without the big car payment!

Re: intake ???
I have a Aem intake on my '01 and it makes kind of a menacing shriek in the Vtec range but sounds normal down low. Honestly, I can't feel any difference in power compared to the stock intake with a K&N air filter and prefer the growl of the stock intake more.

Nice job on saving the Type R. Now I know what it looks like under my dash... pretty beefy metal up there. The four lug championship white wheels look great too.

Jam nut size for valve adjustment?
I'm planning on adjusting my valves soon and am going to buy the tool from Snap On (part #YA8895). Does anybody know what size the jam nut is for the Type R; I've
been searching the internet and am possibly thinking 10mm?
Thanks,
Scott
