Re: 2011 Track Schedule
NASA Mid -Atlantic Autocross will probably do 2 Circuitcross events at VIR Patriot this year. The Circuitcross is 1 car at a time, 5-7 attempts to to run your fastest timed lap. An autocross with no cones, just you and the track. Schedule should be out soon. Will be held on Sunday of the NASA VIR we...

Re: NASA Mid-Atlantic Auto-X Jan 23 @ VMP
If you are that close and have never experienced Auto-X before, show up around 9am, help me set up the course and I'll take you for a ride on one of my runs. You will learn a lot, have some fun, and its free!

Re: 2011 NASA South East Dates
So much going on is a good thing! From our group in Lynchburg we have 4 registered for the April NCCAR event, and several that are hoping to go. To get the weekend garage rental to $50 a head we would need 10 total. My name is on the list for a garage, just not sure if we will have enough to justify...

Re: 2011 NASA South East Dates
Looking at the NCCAR website, it looks like a lift, tire changer, etc. has been installed in garage #2, and from the floor plan layout it looks like thats the plan for all garages at some point. How many of you are going to NASA-SE NCCAR #1 and do you plan on getting a garage again?

Bit of bad news, looks like the garage rental at NCCAR has gone up for 2011. $250 per day.

Re: 2011 NASA South East Dates
I did a competition school with Cornerspeed (motorcycles) at Barber 3-4 years ago. Wide track, unbelievable grounds (almost like a park)& facilities. If you get to go plan enough time to visit the car/bike museum, takes several hours to see it all. I hope NASA gets a date there, but its a long h...

Re: Getting started in HPDE/Professional Driving
If there are events in your area, start by Autocrossing. Auto-X is inexpensive ($30 an event) and teaches great car control. It will amaze you how intense a parking lot full of cones can get when driving against the clock. The benefits pay off on track as you are used to the feeling of tires losing ...

Re: 2011 NASA South East Dates
Don't feel bad, I did the same thing with my friends. Easy assumption to make when last year was a $50 Holiday coupon & this year its a $150 Holiday coupon. Boil it all down and event prices increased by $20 for 2011, and the Holiday Special is $50 off the normal price people generally pay, same...
