I got mine at a custom shop near here. Not sure where else they are sold, I know you can get the typical "normal" sized Optima at Autozone of Pep Boys usually. Also they don't make a Red Top for the Honda/Acura, just the Yellow Top. I know there are lighter batteries on the market but my O...

I had ceramic for 2 years on my previous car without any troubles. I was thinking stainless with the header but for $100 more and hearing a few people say that it looks like crap a few weeks after you get it scared me off. And I didn't have the money for the SMSP or Spoon header type either. =( It's...

Just put on (JDM DC Header, cat back...pics!)

I posted before about buying the high flow cat with the flanges welded on and told ya I'd do an update when it all got put on. I put the JDM DC Sports 4-1 header, carsound high flow cat, and Apexi World Sport cat back exhaust on this weekend. I must add that everything fit PERFECT, not one problem a...

Nah not yet, coming this Monday or Tuesday I'll be ordering the cat back exhaust then I'll bolt everything on at once. For some reason I just like doing it that way better than peice at a time. I'll let ya guys know when I do though. I never got a 1/4 time in stock form (plus intake) but I got an 1/...

Sorry to bring this back up from the dead but I thought I'd update it a bit for anybody thinking about ordering from mufflertech.com. After a week and 2 days I called them (February 10th) to check on the order. He took my name and number down and told me he'd have his qife check into the order asap....

Cool guys thanks for the replies. I'll try that Meguiars #9 swirl mark remover. It wasn't in an accident, just kinda looks like water stain drip marks or something. Thanks again.

Me neither. =) But for everybody's information, I did order the mufflertech.com JDM cat (not really JDM cat but you know what I mean) with welded flanges and such on Monday (Feb 1st??) Kinda awkward since there is no "checkout" system, you basically just paypal them the money. I didn't fee...

Yes, the Acura dealer down here in Florida will install lo-jack (spelling??). I was talking to the girl about it and something about it being $500 I think. But as far as I know the Acura dealership should carry it.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I did find a few but now I'm not sure... The muffertech.com is just like the carsound with the flanges for $110 I believe, and the landspeedracing.com is supposedly the powercore high flow cat? Is it really worth the $250? I'm not trying to throw cheap parts on the R...

Pre made cat for JDM header

Is there any other site on the internet that sells pre made catalytic converters for the JDM header with the flanges all ready welded on, or does anybody have a number for me to call? I tried to order the one off of hybrid garage and all I get is some kid of transaction error when ordering online an...

Dull Paint Problem, solution??

Hey guys, I got a 98 ITR and I've noticed that mainly on the rear quarter panels the paint is kinda dull. It looks like there's some drip marks also (wouldn't see them unless you know they're there), almost like hard water stains or something you see on a bathtub, like you can kinda see drip marks w...

Every once in a while they'll be a yellow poster on ebay. Last time I saw them was about 2 weeks ago. There were 2 different yellow Type R posters. One was standing still and the other was while driving.

Even though your brake level is fine, you might wanna fill it up to the rim. Read my post about the same problem http://www.itrca.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3139 My brake fluid was full put I but more in anyway and it solved the problem. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the replies guys. I tried the gas cap because the previous owner said he had to replace the gas cap before because of that reason, and about 2 weeks after I got the car, the check engine light came on and it was the gas cap, but this time it wasn't. I know about the button for the Mainten...

Check Engine Light "on"

Hey guys, probably about last Wednesday my check engine light came on in my 98 ITR. Sunday afternoon my buddy with a code checker ran the code of "P1457". Well, he cleared the code and said to see how it goes, it'll probably come back on when you jump on it... I jumped on it a few times th...

Go to the BF Goodrich site and then go to their store. You can pick up the poster for $7.50 with free shipping! It's a white Type R though. I'm not sure where they would have a poster of the Yellow Type R that is mostly featured in the BF Goodrich tire ads. But for anybody that doens't mind the whit...

"Brake" Cluster light problem.

I've only had my R for about 3 months, I bought it off a a 49 year old guy so I don't think it was beat down. Anyway..... When I start my car in the coolness of the morning (we're talking Florida coolness, so it's maybe 85 degress or so) the brake light on my cluster stays lit even when I release my...
