Well, I bought the 01' S2K and traded it in three months later for an 03' S2K! I love it! Although, I still wish I had my ITR. Ever since I sold the ITR, I have not been happy with any car, until now. The S2K is great, but the ITR would still make a useful addition. If I could do things over again, ...

I miss mine dearly and wish I had kept it, there is nothing I can do about that now. I debated purchasing another one, but I purchased a Honda S2000 instead. I got a pretty good deal on a 2001 with 22K miles owned by an older couple and in awesome shape. It's silverstone with the red/black leather i...

The Honda dealer's don't know anything! They won't know until it shows up on their door step. It's always been this way with Honda/Acura. They have some of the best secret-keeping personnel in the business! It's just like when the 2000 ITR came back! There was no word of it happening until it showed...

I'm not so sure of that. I know they are improving the Si for 2004 and are offering the upgraded package, but in addition to the motortrend article, I also read something similar in Consumer Guide that said something about the Type R version being introduced in late 2004 or as an '05 model. Honda is...

According to this article, and one in the issue after this, it appears as though the CTR is finally coming our way!

It really depends on your age and insurance company along with driving history (tickets). My insurance ranged from $600-$690 every six months. I was 25 when I bought my R, I've been insured by Nationwide since I was 16, I've had five speeding tickets (but went to traffic school for all of them), and...

The ITR has been noted in Sport Compact Car as being able to stop from 60 mph in 116 feet. This is incredible! The Toyota Celica GTS beats the Type R by only a couple feet and the same goes for a few other very expensive, high performance cars (Porsche, EVO, STi). So the Type R is very impressive as...

Don't get a WRX unless you're getting the STi version. Trust me on this. I sold my '00 PY Type R and bought a WRX. I was disappointed with the lack of handling and lack of boost after 1st gear. I wish I had never sold my ITR, especially not for a WRX. An STi or EVO would be completely different. I w...

Looking for all ITR's in the southeast that are for sale. Preferably 97-98. Prefer all stock, but may consider if it has minor mods (CAI). Must have been taken care of very well (all oil changes, services, tire rotations, etc). No accidents, no salvaged titles, no heavily raced or ragged on ITR's. L...

I bought mine about a month after my 25th birthday. I had it for two years and two months and then I sold it. I've hated life ever since and have gone through five cars, with none of them giving me what my ITR had (great performance, handling, braking and overall fit, finish, reliability and quality).

Vibration could definitely be from warped rotors. I had the same problem on my Integra. When slowing down, the steering wheel and front end would vibrate pretty bad. Once I had the rotors resurfaced, it never vibrated again. I think the Acura mechanic said that if it vibrates when stopping/slowing d...

WTB: 97-01 Integra Type R
Alright guys, I sold my '00 PY ITR in April 2002, and I have been kicking myself in the nuts for doing it ever since. So now, I'm looking to buy another one. It must be stock , but I will make an exception if it has only an AEM CAI or minor changes that do not affect the engine, suspension or perfor...

sold my 2000 PY R with 31,000 miles in May for $19,800 WOW! That's a lot of money for a car with that many miles on it. I BOUGHT (not sold) my '98 Chamionship White in '00 with 24,000 mi. on it for $16,900. You got lucky finding a 98' with only 24K miles! And the price you paid was probably $1,000-...

I agree! Let someone else take the hit, and then get yourself a good deal. Luckily, I got such a good deal, that there was no hit to begin with. But like you said, it was a once in a lifetime deal. So I knew I couldn't pass it up. It just pisses me off now because I should have kept the car. After a...

Depends. If I'm looking to buy one, I want it with low mileage. I know Honda's run forever, but higher mileage cars need more maintenance work due to the wear and tear on the vehicle (timing belts, brakes, etc.). I drove my Type R everyday, and still put on average mileage each year (14-15K). It was...

Joe, I agree to an extent. Yes, the Type R is a rare car, and thus more valuable than a regular integra or other cars. So yes, we sort of do set the value of the car for buying and selling. At the same time, there are some sellers out there who are asking way too much for their car. I'm sorry, but i...
