Dont fight those feelings. Turbos are great little gizmos and we all know that if honda came out with a turbo type R integra, we'd buy it in a heartbeat. jdm, the car is up there with the best of them performance-wise. My friend's about to purchase a subaru B4 (similar specs). Evo's are even faster ...

"13.3 @ 103.5"

My hairy round one. Nice signature. You're really either going to have to update this signature or correct that one

"The other car slammed into a tree" Hah! -The idiots in philapelphia.

It looks like both cars egged each other one so much that they both ignored their own instincts and took a corner way too fast.

Stock turbo setup???

I'll be getting my type R in the next 6 months or so and it will be my daily driver. There have been a few related posts. I also asked a similar question in the general topics but got completely hijacked (apparently a lot of you disagree with turbo'ing these cars). Considering a pretty tight budget,...

We're only required to have third party insurance. Not much comparatively.

Screw insurance. Really, just take some reasonably sized payments you would be giving to your insurance company and put them into a savings account which you can use if anything bad ever happens. Just make sure you always park your car in a safe place and you're careful in traffic. This car is kind ...

"US"

At 14k buy now that's 28 thousand new zealand dollars. Plus it's the USDM version. And shipping would be stupid.

Sorry to tear your hopes =]

Yea, I have. It's really straight forward, just search for all the screws, taking them out as you go. You'll miss at least a few (they hide them well). Pull on the inside panel until it starts to come away when you think you've got them all. Those clips don't 'really' break (unless you're stupidly r...

Why don't they give you a hard time for supercharging your type R? Tell me, how easy was it to supercharge and what charger did you use?

Wow, thanks. That was really helpful. I'll check out the 5th gear modification. So you supercharged the car yourself? Probably more trouble than it's worth unless I have some extra cash to burn. How was fuel economy after that? Did you ever get a true HP reading after that?

Yea, all of the above... I know it's not going to be a sunday driver, I just want to know if I can 'tolerate' it while driving... on sunday =].

Yea, the big problem being acura is named 'honda' here in new zealand, and 'honda' doesn't manufacture 'RSX's' over here, let alone ship them in. At least I don't think so. I probably would get one otherwise =P. Closest thing here is an integra SiR but that's nothing compared to the R (20 kw less, w...

No, you've got me all wrong. I love driving, especially hondas. And I'm not looking for a sunday-driving car with a 'little extra power'. I love what the type r is about and how it was engineered. I just have to be a little responsible before my brain runs away on me and consider what it'll be like ...

Some questions for the knowledgable

OK, I've got some question that've been eating me up and I need them answered. I'm looking at getting an integra type r in a few months but there are some things I want to clear up before I actually make the decision. I live in new zealand, so just bare that in mind if you want to quote any foreign ...
