Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location

Honda Challenge would also be a part of the event where they would have qualifying and an actual points race incorporated into the event. Regardless of the location, I would be very hesitant about this idea. I don't mind seeing a fun race, but having an actual point race requires a lot of other thi...

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location

To counter the weekday idea, what would be better for the local majority? Most likely the weekend if we base that off of our data from this past year's event. The regional contingent, especially Chicago area, really showed up compared to E9 (Mon Tues). We're still awaiting word on the availability ...

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location

West Coast folks - the event's success heavily falls on the shoulders of the folks within a day's drive of the track. For arguement's sake, we would essentially need to get 60 paid drivers + 20 or so instructors to make this a reality, and all within a very short amount of time. Do those west-coast...

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location

My biggest fear with having expo on the west coast is the potential of theft. That's not to say there isn't going to be theft anywhere else in the country, but let's be real here: the west coast (namely California) has the highest theft rate of Hondas. And having 100s of Type Rs (the most sought af...

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location

A west coast ITR Expo would be fantastic. The possibility/probability of this being out west will need to be heavily publicized on all the significant message boards, in order to get an accurate representation of the attendance potential. I was the HPDE coordinator for NSXPO 2010 Las Vegas. We had g...

Re: FS: 1998 2.0L ITR $19k (Nevada)

Just a side note. I met this guy and he was really nice and his car was crazy clean. The car sounded tuned to perfection. Would be a great track car and a better show car. IMO its a fully built ITR with a mod list that made me drool. If i had the money i would be all over it. Good luck on sale boss...

Wow. :o That price is stellar for the package you are offering. With only 65k on the chassis, this car is a baby! Best wishes with the sale, please find it a great home! Thanks for your comments. The used car market is currently the worst I've ever seen it (and I’m 54 years old). It almost doesn't ...

..One a few more questions, Do you or have you tracked the car on a road course? You're not "starting any fires" by sharing your opinion, I'm glad to have your input. In answer to your first question yes I have tracked the car, in both Autocross events and Solo I as part of a SCCA hosted ...

HA's are hard to come by since TEIN america doesn't offer them anymore. I would look into the TEIN Flex or my latest favorite the Zeal Function B6's (I happen to have HA's).
Thanks for the information Trey, I'll be looking at the B6's. 8)

I've had the car about 6 months. I came with Ground-Control coilovers using the stock shocks. One shock is already leaking, so now is a good time for an upgrade.

The only significant difference I have found is that it's much easier to get an aftermarket performance ECU for the '97 - '98 Type Rs.

Type R suspension upgrade

I am planning a suspension upgrade on my 98 Type R. I am going to choose one of the following three suspension systems: Mugen Low Down Sports, Comptech/Koni Pro, TEIN Flex or HA. My car is a daily driver, but is used for occasional Autocross and is being setup for Solo I. If anyone has information a...
