Just realilzed my mistake. The first line should read the 17" wheel will have more mass on the outside vs. a 16" wheel if all other factors are the same.

Hmm. I couldn't say for sure on the balance of spring-to-shock situation for sure. When I was looking to get Teins for one of my RX-7's I asked the guy if I could put a bit softer springs on the dampers to make it a bit more streetable. The guy said it wouldn't be any problem and gave me some part n...

Questions Regarding Comptech Products
I think I'm going to get the woman the Comptech Ice Box for X-mas. I noticed that you have to either use their intake system or filter kit according to Comptech. The filter kit looks like nothing more than a foam filter and if this is so, I would just as soon buy a conical K&N or what not for mu...

I can say one thing with confidence: don't listen to recommendations given out by Tire Rack or Discount Tire Direct. I had ordered a set of wheels and tires for ITR for X-mas last year. They were fine, albeit looking like they stuck out moreso then the stockers, but when I lowered it with springs an...

Realtime has used several wheels on their cars over the years. They started out with late model front NSX wheels all around, switched to something else (which has slipped my mind) and now use 17x7.5 SSR Comps. Tire choice as far as size goes is a 225/45/17. Toyos of course since the series mandates ...

GAB still makes shocks, they just don't make the Super R. The replacement they put on the market doesn't have near as good a reputation. There have been instances of it blowing seals after a short period of time and what not. Yes, the price is pretty high for shocks alone although I did get a pretty...

Ohlins is a popular suspension company with motorcyles so it doesn't surprise me that they have US based servicers. I ended up going the route of Gab Super R shocks with a M2 coilover set. The shocks are raved about but they don't make them anymore, which is why I snatched them up when I did. I neve...

Wow. Good find and sweet deal. At the time, I thought that $1,600 was a good bit of money for the coilovers on my RX-7s...but then I priced a set of Ohlins. Heh. What do you think you will do for service? If there isn't a certified rebuilder/servicer in the US I guess you could always send them acro...

Regarding JE or another similar company making a custom piston for your specific application, that is exactly the point I was making; that it wouldn't be hard at all for them to make it. Figuring out how high the wrist pin should be set and how long the rod you want is not hard at all, really. I wou...

Not up to date on the Honda world; is the B pipe a pipe that replaces the middle section of the exhaust; a pipe that replaces the cat in between the exhaust manifold and cat-back system? I'm looking to get the woman something for her car for X-mas. I'd like to get her the full exhaust dealy but the ...
