Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location
I say this in the most NON-OFFENSIVE way possible: putting an exclamation point at the end of almost every sentence you type makes it seem like you're being demanding, or non-understanding, etc. People may be reading you wrong because of the way you type. Also, what the boys said above, you have to...

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location
Kimo there are contracts involved and money so this kind of stuff take a lot of time. Im sure we won't get an answer till Dec, jan, feb time. So hold on speed racer, just take a break from Expo hunting. :) I'm perfectly calm! I understand that the process can take long. Negotiations can be very tim...

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location
There is a lot of business between various parties to sort out before we can announce anything. It's not as simple as pick it and go. Nothing to drag on here... In the process of negotiations.....with different parties at the moment? Ok I can accept that! Knowing that there are many processes to go...

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location
Too much politics and too much biasing involved IMO. If the committee is going to have Expo where ever they choose, then have it already! Do the math, and if it doesn't compute, then don't have one in California. Simple!!! I don't get why the committee allows this the drag on with all these debates ...

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location
Yea, I remember when Steve (@Corner3Garage) took MikeHonda's 98 out for a stroll at the local canyon road (Ortega Hwy). Mind you, for those who haven't seen MikeHonda's 98. It's fully caged, gutted to the bare minimum, on Takata green wheels wrapped in R compound. And I can't remember which exhaust ...

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location
I know your email wasn't targeted towards me, but I do represent the committee and I can answer your last question of what you can do to help: - Tell fellow enthusiasts about the event and help get the word out - some people need to be pulled along - Start thinking of potential instructors that cou...

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location
The topic was going fine 5 pages in. Then it just went to doodoo about the time when someone said that if E11 failed in the West, the morale of fellow loyalist would drop and interest in Expo would decline and that Expo4 failed due to the West's lack of attendance. It just makes me feel like failure...

I'll go as far as the majority of the West ITRs are willing to go.

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location
Kimo your not making this anymore easier for Jared and I. Just relax a bit. We are working on a deposit plan, so just chill for a bit OK. I'm sorry Isaac, I'm just a bit upset that all I read are doubts and speculations why E11 on the West wouldn't work; not a good idea; that group morale will decl...

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location
It surprises me that the ITR committee doesn't even seem to try to reach out to the members in the West. The committee should try to reach out to the members of the West first and try to bring the ITR family together @ E11. Everyone seems to be so stuck up in the issue about who tracks the most to b...

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location
With all of y'all comments said: Then why attempt a West coast Expo if you already know the outcome?
The committee should stick to the close tight dependable group they have on the east and mid-west and keep trotting along!

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location
Then if the committee is so worried about the distinguished members falling off and morale dropping, then with due respect, keep it where it has always been. Why even think of such attempt to diminish the West with talks of doubts? These post are nothing far from setting E11 for failure if they are ...

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location
I can assume that Expo's success through out the years in the east is due to the connections Expo have made and have brought in. What I understand from this attempt(gut feeling) is that the Expo committee has no strong link to a solid West/ Mid-West ITR based community and are afraid of loosing thei...

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location
I really do think a west coast expo at this time will really slow down and lead the core of the group to begin to forget about it. While I, and many others, want to bring in loads of new people and would love to have both coasts with strong showings (I hate that there is something between them, can...

Re: Expo 11 - Possible Event Location
Since one of our primary goals is to partner with HPD, the distance from each track to Santa Clarita is a big consideration. I'm just imagining an area where people could actually camp out with tents for those who plans on not spending on a hotel room. :? There is no grass area at Willow Springs In...

Wes, If you need a point of contact to organize the event at Willow Springs, I could suggest Christopher Willard, the founder of the open track day organization Redline Track Events and Co-Founder of the Redline Time Attack Racing Series.
