i like it, but the whole JDM thing is getting a little played nowadays.

id rather spend the 2600-2700 dollars on the motor or suspension.

i think trey should change his sig to: " Spell V-TEC right  " hehe :) back to the question though.. i havent had any experience with b-series motors and cams. but just for reference my uncle's 98 cobra made the same noise after he replaced the stock valvetrain with aftermarket stuff....

well...as much as im a fan of all-motor.... i have to admit, n20 is a good bang-for-the-buck item. keep in mind ANYTIME you force air into your motor, you're going to reduce its reliability. with that said: i think a 55-shot would be ok, i wouldnt risk anything over that though. make sure you put in...

in the new super street...

they have a section on a Gude performance package. new ported head, new throttle body and new cams. they dont quote any hp numbers, but the install is interesting nonetheless. i wonder what kind of power they're laying down with that.

i was thinking the other night, and id like my compression to end up around 11:8:1 or so. i was thinking CTR pistons and a spoon headgasket would get me pretty close.

but of course if i could get away with 12:0 id probably go for it

ive already decided to stick with the 1.8

a little extra torque would be nice somtimes, but its not worth the risk.

in my opinion if you want a turbo, get a car that has a turbo from the factory. BUT... if you want a turbo set-up to work right you're going to need a lot of money. you'll need the turbo, all the necessary piping($$$), an intercooler, whole new fuel system, lower compression pistons (for reliability...

DC exhaust is so-so. I wouldn't put one on my car... I'd rather stick with OEM exhaust than DC. Their fit and finish on exhaust is not that great.
wait are you talking about their headers? or their cat-backs?

because i was planning on getting one of their 4 into 1 headers for my R.

compression questions.

here in las vegas, most of the pumps carry 91 octane. the chevron i go to has 92. so what is the highest compression i could take my motor to with out detonation/knocking on 91/92 octane?

thanks. :)

id go with bilstein personally.

and if you ever want to get some good springs that compliment those shocks, H+R sport springs work wonders.

but i heard after 2 years tuning and thousands of head aches, the car is only pushing 218 to the wheels. :( the cost/headache factor doesnt seem to justify the power or torque.

let's get this straight though... a lot of people are under the assumption that superchargers are "safer" than turbos, nitrous, etc. no matter what kind of forced induction you put on your motor, you still need to realize that you're FORCING AIR into the motor. unless you have the right am...

i have ALWAYS seen the v-afc as a good deal, as long as it's tuned properly. controlling the vtec switchover point and fuel curves is a big deal, and an excellent way to make more power. honestly, i could care less if i get a check engine light, because the best way to cure that is some black electr...
