Gasket
Civic7psi, I think what is being said is that, for a little compression, the answer is go witha head gasket instead of milling the head down. Seems more reasonable......if you don't like what you build, take the gasket away instead of then replacing the head. Yeah, open heart surgery on the B would ...

Muegen Gasket
I have heard the same about a thinner HG. Technically, less gasket would equall more compression, but less gasket probably equalls piston to valve collision, I really don't know. I guess its six of one...either milling or a thinner gasket......Muegen? is that a metal gasket. Nice pUr, thanks. If you...

To mill, or not to mill?
yeah that was cheesy, I know. I believe I read previously that the ITR head can be milled .030 for better compression. Anybody w/ pro's and con's on this subject??? recomendations for head gaskets, tips and to-do's while the head is off. With a stock bottom end and stock head (milled) what compressi...

attn: anyone unmod. suspension; help!
Ok, being hasty I took off my stock struts and replaced my suspension with coil-overs. Then being retarded, I slammed it down 2 in w/o checking factory ground clearance before. Now I'm riding on too much tire and trying to return to factory ride height (through t&e) so I can get my camber back. ...

It is under warranty, and I have never changed the idle. I hooked up a dwell meter and my idle hold very steady at 725-750 so there really isn't an idle problem, Its just the 1000rpm idle when the lights are on that bothers me. Ill take it to Acura and see what they say Thanks for your help, you guy...

lights vs.idle
Sounds easy enough, thanks. But, do you think that the raise in idle while the lights are on is a problem, or is this just the normal run of things?
I dont really want to take it to the dealership, they are just a pain.

factory GC specs?
What is the factory ground clearance for the Type-R, where is it measured (what point on the car to the ground, or is it measured by the wheel well clearanceand) is the car laden while it is measured, and finally what degree is the camber set for from and rear wheels.

Headlights effecting idle
When I run my headlights, my idle kicks up a bit. I get an increse from 500-750 to right around a thousand, and it stays steady until I turn off the lights. Seems normal enough but I dont remember this happening before 15,000. Is this normal behavior or should I start seeking a drain on alt. or batt...
