Action Kevlar. I run one in my ITR. Smooth as silk and can handle plenty of power. http://www.m24x.com/clutch101.htm That's a clutch article featuring the following: * ACT * ClutchNet * Clutchmasters * RPS * HC Racing (Herson Racing) * Action Clutch * Clutch Specialties

Best ET 13.737@100.42mph Best trap 100.7mph. 2.05 60'. JDM DC, stock exhaust, no PS belt, Potenza S03 tires on 22lb CRV rims. Full interior minus removed rear seat and spare which was definitely offset by the heavy rims. Car put down 173whp at the time. Car is now cammed and trapped 100.89mph in wor...

Reid you suck at GT4. :P I think I was in the 1:07's with a bone stock Type-R on street tires. Let me see if I can find the little ITR forum competition but I'm pretty sure I'm right. Regardless of that I'm very jealous. Congrats and maybe next time it will be dry. Edit: My best time is 1:06:395. Ar...

I've got a question.

My ITR is currently in the works to have the engine rebuilt. As long as the shops doing the work stay on target everything should work out but in the event it doesn't I assume it will be ok if I come in one of my beater cars?

I'm in the Mobile area, but my ITR is currently out of action. I could always bring the turbo EG though.

Change out that header for a JDM style 2.5" collector version. For your mods you are trapping pretty low unless it was very hot and humid or you are at high elevation.

My advice now that I've had my R for a while is to leave it stock for at least 6 months. Spend your money on auto-x and the things needed for it such as tires and brake pads. If you want to mod it just keep it simple at first and slap on a good I/H/E setup. That right there is good for high 13's in ...

Since I think all of these stories should be tracked based here are a few of mine. At the track one night and when I heard some kid about my age bragging about how he was probably the fastest car out there and he was stock. Some gay little car club was having a little meet and he thought he was Mr. ...

My best launches were from around 7,000rpms. I rode the clutch slightly and modulated the throttle. Best 60' on street tires was a 2.05. I more consistently pulled 2.1's. At that elevation don't count on running 13's unless they have some sort of correction for elevation. That's pretty darn high.

My R isn't stock. It doesn't have many mods but it still isn't stock. Bone stock vs bone stock an S2000 is faster. Most S2000's aren't in the 13's anyway because you have to launch them high and the clutch can't take the abuse. It's more common to see them running mid-low 14's at the strip.

I say stock weight even though I had my spare tire/jack and rear seat out (passenger seat was still in) because I was running on my heavier than stock CRV rims which IMO cancel out any of my weight savings.

You should launch higher. You are getting a good 60' but that isn't everything if you make the car have to pull through the power band. Your 1/8mi time and trap are low compared to your 1/4mi trap speed which suggests that there is something lacking. You can pull a 2.0 on street tires (I've done it ...

New best.

Sorry this is about a month or so old now but I don't come here to often. Thought I would update the guys that don't visit Honda-Tech with my new best. Car: 2001 Type-R. Mods: AEM CAI, JDM DC header, test pipe, STOCK EXHAUST, STOCK WEIGHT, no other mods. Running on Potenza SO-3's (not drag radials)....

I might be there if I don't go to Dothan. Apparently they have an Auto-X there where you get as many runs as you want.

Nice. Your traps should be good for mid 13's. I'm hitting a 13.8 with 99mph trap speeds. AEM CAI, JDM DC, and no PS belt.
