Oops, I meant to say the opposite, that the R sits lower by .6" (15mm).

AJ,

Last night I happened to be parked nose to nose with a base model Integra, which from the factory sits .6" lower than my Type R. As you suspected, I couldn't really see any difference.

Thanks,
Tony

They lower the base Integra and GSR 1.25", but the Type R already sits about a half inch lower than those models.

Thanks for the info Fredtoast. You anticipated my next question which was fuel economy... I drive the car about 15,000 miles per year so that is definitely a factor.

Aluminum and/or carbon fiber body panels, more torque, and a smaller, lighter weight, more stylish (with red stitching) steering wheel.

I'll throw in my 10 cents here since I've owned a few high performance cars and driven some exotics. I've owned a 94 Rx7 with a M2 stage 3 kit (good for approx 330 hp). This car hauled ass, was rare, looked beautiful, comfortable car for long trips, and was a real adrenaline rush when pushed hard. O...

Supercivicsi, When I was looking into coilovers, I was also on the hunt for something under $1000. What I was most strongly considering was the Apexi World Sport Damper Coilovers for $889 at Modacar. I didn't end up buying because I'll scrape the ground pulling into my garage if I lower the car much...

Comptech Sport Springs

Hello, I was interested in putting a coilover suspension on my car, but before I went to order I luckily checked the ground clearance when pulling into my garage. If I lower my car more than an inch, the center of my car will scrape the ground, and even at an inch I may scrape if I don't take just t...

Hey Fredtoast,

There's a boost upgrade kit for the JRSC (Type R) at the following link:

http://www.modacar.com/products/Acura/Integra/MODAFOIN/

By the way, do you already have the JRSC installed on your car? If so, how do you like it? I'm debating about adding it to my car.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll check out the Zeal kit and also see what else is available. Any other suggesions on complete coilover setups in the lower price ranges (up to $1200)? I don't race the car... I just live on some really curvy (and damn fun) mountain roads and would like to drop the car'...

Alex B, thanks for the reply. I was under the same impression that an upgraded fuel pump may be necessary, either w/ nitrous or a supercharger. I will look into this further.

Thanks again,

Apexi World Sport Damper coilovers

Anybody have this setup on their ITR or heard anything good/bad about it? It's priced quite a bit lower than other complete coilover setups and am curious how it compares to stock. It retails just over $1000 and it's being sold for between $800-$900 at most places.

Thanks,

Nitrous

Hello, I have a feeling my question will cause an uproar here, but here goes... I am considering adding a 55HP Zex nitrous kit to my otherwise stock engined 98 ITR and would like to get some input from you guys. Everyone always says don't use nitrous because it will blow up your engine, but few peop...
