My race tires are mounted on Millenia's, which are the same as the stock ITR wheels (15x6 & 50mm offset). The 5mm spacers effectively create a 45mm offset. I ran the whole season with 225's last year (my first with the car, and the first on race tires), and felt really good about it. You feel th...

The 225's will fit on a 6 inch rim. Although I personally run Kumho's I have a friend who is running the 225's Hoosiers on Millenia's.

BBQ, Since you run the Hoosiers, can you please confirm that your running them on a 6" rim.

Thanks.

I run the 225 Victo's and use 5mm spacers to prevent much rubbing.

Without the spacers the tires will rub the lower control arm and the inner fender. With the spacers the fronts only rub at full lock and the rears hardly at all.

Both the 225/45-15 and the 225/50-15 will fit the ITR 15x6 rims. I know from experience that the 225 Victo's require a spacer to prevent the tire from rubbing. I'd be willing to bet that the 225's from Hoosier also require the spacers. The spacers that I use are 5mm. What are you using the 225's for...

Try running a search on Autotrader. I think there's a couple 00 - 01's around.
I don't know of any personally though.

Good luck.

Your right about the lower profile, since in general it can improve the vehicles gearing. However, for autocross, you really want the width for the ultimate grip. With a 195 or 205, I think the car would tend to push more for a given amount of power. Because of that, you wouldn't be able to roll ont...

Re: Honda Engineer Question

Like Jan said, get your degree, and look for internships at automotive related places locally. The experience will help a lot. Re: Which autox class do YOU compete in?

I think you'd get away with it at local events, but you'd likely be protested in DS at some of the higher level national events, and get disqualified as a result. Even if someone doesn't notice it during impound, the word gets around and pretty soon it'll catch up to you (people love to talk). From ...

I don't think it's anywhere online.

You can go to http://www.helminc.com, and order a new one.

I finally got around to weighing these guys. Unfortunately I was unable to weigh the wheel itself, so I weighed a wheel/tire combo, and a tire only (same size) The results are (drum roll please)... ... using my old bathroom scale Wheel/tire 30.5 - Tire only 19.5 = Wheel 11 lbs. Re: How many total Type R's were made for the US?.....

I thought the letter from Acura referenced the number of ITR's sold in the U.S (not North America), while the number sequence is for all North America ITR's, including Canada, etc.

I may be mistaken though.

Consider your goals regarding autocross before you change your suspension.

The teins will make you ineligible for stock class if that's what you want to do. If you're interested in running STX or DSP, then it's a non-issue.

The koni's are great, but I don't have comparison to the teins.

Do you know what size they are? I'm interested in the size as it relates to rubbing. I have 205/50-15 Azenis for the street and don't have any problem with rubbing. I only use the spacers for autocross and I think it's only the 225's and maybe 215's (don't know who makes for 15" rim) that will ...

I dropped the wheels/tires off at the shop for a swap. They don't have a scale, so I'll weigh a wheel/tire combo vs. tire when I get them back later in the week.

Read 13.4 of the stock rules, it states; same width & diameter offset within .25" (including wheel spacers if applicable) resultant change in track is allowed. From this, you can use .25" spacer's, since the millenia wheels are right on the money for offset. Without the spacer's, you'l...

The millenia rims are not hub centric on the ITR hubs. BBQ's right that the lugs will center the rim. Just make sure you get them good and snug (not torqued) before you lower the car onto the wheels. Keep the jack supporting the car while you torque, and you'll be fine. The wheels are legal for SCCA...

All I can do is guess, but my guess is that there ARE numbers on jdm vehicles/engines. You might try calling some local shops that import engines for swaps.
