Buy a rule book for whomever you plan to run with before you do anything to your car if you plan to race it. For racing (auto-x and road racing at least) you need to build a car to the rules for the class/series you plan to run- the rules are probably more strict that you are anticipating. I haven't...

Re: Southeast Honda Challenge
No Florida tracks? weaksauce. There is a NASA FL region. FL racers might have better luck approaching them. I wasn't aware of their region- but I don't live in FL either...so VERY VALID point. If you FL guys want HC all you need to do is, contact region director, tell them you want HC. I'm sure the...

And in addition to the things mentioned above.... for those people that are like me- ultimatley the car gets turned into a 100% racecar (replaced by another daily driver that will ultimatley have the same fate)... the car is a better platform to start with (mentioned in the above post) as it already...

If you are speaking about for track use (providing whomever you are racing with allows the removal of it in the rules) take it out- no ps is great on track- less weight, more hp, and the most important part the better feel/response. I haven't actually driven without it on my R (as I don't race it ye...

Danielle ... are you planning on coming out to the '04 ITR Expo this year? It's always nice to see a woman on and at the track! 8) I've been meaning to go every year- I've promised myself next year for real! But we're already making the trek to Summit Pt (a haul from Knoxville, TN) severa...

you can add sway bars and struts on your front and rear. you can also add a rollcage or underbody braces....... You can add whatever you want. But if you dont think about how it all works together and blindly add crap, the car will be worse off. quote] Exactly! Which is why I had said start with su...

Yes- thats the Honda Challenge that started all of the regional series. But with a new region (SE which is separate from VA region) they wanted a HC series as well. We are running a different schedule (with the exceptions of one event with the Mid-West Honda Challenge, and another with ECHC). The go...

To answer the questions regarding my 1st post. No camber kit required. I personally really like the Toyos- they aren't the only tires I've run by any means! The reference to SVWC cars was in regards to the wheel/tire size set up I chose. I honestly like them- I'm not saying theres nothing better out...

I blew the stock shocks within the first 15K of having the car- it just caused me to do what I was planning to do anyway earlier than planned- replace them with Koni double-adjustables. I put 450 fr/600 rear Eibach springs. Run SSR competition (17) wheels, with Toyos (same as Speed World Challenge R...

-sorry but truth is FL tracks are only convenient to those in FL and other state tracks are only convenient for driver home states. I bet you'll get more participants in SE Honda Challenge if you have at least one event in Florida. We got some big bawlers down here. Sorry if you misunderstood me- I...

How old were you when you bought your ITR? Cause I'm only 16 just got my lisense, and about to by an Integra LS, feel mad cause dont have enough money to get a Type-R :(. Please say 20 and lift my spirits up :) Good things come to those who wait. Be patient. I got my Type R (first brand new car I e...

Whoa, I didn't realize that I would hurt someone with something that innocent and unintentional. I have no dislike of girls in the automotive world are in general, but in the whole girls that I know have no like, or sense of what I enjoy about my car and many of yours. when i said this i didn't mea...

Re: Type R rant
Yeah we just get used to it, but girls are the worst. First off while not a feminist by any means- don't negatively lump the girls. By looking at them as "the worst" you are doing nothing to encourage them into understanding the passion behind both cars and driving. I laugh at you as I re...

Hopefully in the future- you have to understand that its not just the SEHC thats new the entire region in new- this is the first year for SE NASA. Jim Pantas - the one who took on starting the new region is based out of NC. I'm not certain but would be willing to bet that the track selections were b...

I just wanted to put a post out inviting any licensed racers to join us in 2004 for the NASA Southeast Honda Challenge's inaugural season! We don't have a web-site yet so until we do I'm just trying to spread the news. Schedule: March 13-14 Nashville Motor Speedway April 3-4 Carolina Motorsports Par...
