What a weekend!
Adam's Wedding was awesome, I loved my dancing partner for the night and my date that evening. My date was Len, Just imagine Len and then me in 3 inch heels, it was fun. And I can also say AJ is a dancing queen, oh and nice belt buckle!

After I flew back into Melbourne I drove 2 hours with my mom and got to see Bon Jovi in concert. Our seats were amazing, I could have reached out and touched him. (He looks great for an old guy ;))

Ugh. Stupid Time Warner. Might have to call about the upload, I don't recall them being throttled quite that much.

Most likely the system it's testing to has high latency.... and the route it took to get to that Tampa server likely went through Atlanta first (from Tampa to ATL to Tampa) or through Dallas, depending on which DS3 the routers decided to use...

It also varies greatly depending on what's going on at the moment (# of employees, how much traffic going to our sites/systems, etc).

So who wants to help me get my project car to SC? It would require you giving up twenty four to forty eight hours of your life. About twelve of those hours would be spent on the road.

I wont beat a university without some creative server selection. The datacenter I have p2p fiber to has GigE to all the big providers but I can't enter my own peer to test against

I would, but I'd have to fly up. Maybe in exchange for free slipstreams lol j/k

I'd love to do it though. What dates are you thinking about? If you can't find someone local I'll see if I can help you out.

Wow Dave, thank you for the offer. I don't have any dates in mind yet. I move into my new place in two weeks. I went back to TN last weekend and got the car running. I'm getting antsy now that I will have a place to park it and Expo is creeping up on me. I'm hoping I can con Len or Lucas into the roadtrip.

Its a three hour drive here though and I feel bad about that. You would be better driving down on a Thursday and hanging out that night, hang around that day, and then we could roll out Friday evening. Drive back Saturday, hang out that night, and then you could make your way back Sunday night to split up the road time.

So anyone else getting boned by this whole Icelandic volcano thing?

Bef flew to Toulouse on business last Tuesday, supposed to return yesterday. Obviously that didn't happen, but the got booked for Wednesday. Got email about a half-hour ago from American - cancelled. When I talked to her earlier tonight, they had seats "on hold" for Saturday just in case, and I really hope that happens.

Thank God her work is paying for a hotel, and she's not stuck in an airport somewhere in France.

That sucks. It's pretty crazy that a volcano can cause that much trouble for that wide of a spread with air travel. Makes sense, but still impressive.

Yikes Pat, that's awful, I'm sorry. I am glad her work is covering the hotel. That would really make me uneasy as a significant other/husband. I hope everything settles down over there and she is able to get home soon.
