All about... BEER!!!
What kind do you like, recent beers you've tried and recommend, places to find that hard to get stuff.
personally, I've been on a stout kick lately. Gone through Great Divide, Bell's... looking for others...

Back before I converted to Islam and stopped drinking (ok minus the islam part).. I liked a variety of Samuel Smith beers.

Stouts... What do you like in a stout? Try Left Hand Milk Stout, St Peters cream stout.
My fav beer at the time is/are... Magic Hat #9, Xingu Schwarzbier, and Delrium Tremens.

Have had, and love Left Hand, had that back in FL. I'll look for St. Peters. Wonder if they carry it locally.
Now that the season is changing, I may get back more into Ales as well.
<--- Is NOT an IPA guy, despite trying HopDevil for the first time last night.

Re: All about... BEER!!!
With summer coming on I'm getting a taste for the light beers again. I had a leftover Dogfish Head Burton Baton last night and didn't really enjoy it as much as I did 6 months ago.
I'm a really big fan of German beers, and I've got a 6pack of this chilling in the fridge for tonight:

I don't care for IPAs much either. Lost Coast Alley Cat Amber is yummy. I might have one of those while at work tonight.

Mostly stouts and ales here. I'm a big fan of a good IPA too. Really like strong flavors.

How is the Paulaner? I've been in heaven ever since I found the half-liter Konig Pils cans in Durham. It's cheap, too.
I've had beer at VIR, Summit Point, CMP, Roebling, Road Atlanta, BeaveRun, Gingerman, MAM, Lowe's Motor Speedway...

Re: All about... BEER!!!
aww man now I want a beer I really like amber ales but around here there are so many IPAs it's not even funny. I never turn down a good stout. But yeah can't go wrong with #9 I'm not too big on any other magic hat beers. Until I get paid tomorrow it's miller HL for me. Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout gets a big thumbs up for me. Delerium Tremens...ehhh not that great, however Chimay made by the monks delicious!
Re: All about... BEER!!!
You just mentioned 2 more I need to try...
Chimay Blue and Sam Smiths Oatmeal Stout.

Re: All about... BEER!!!
yeah, sam smith stuff is quite good. As is Chimay and most of the trappist Belgians. I'm pretty stuck still between #9 and Guinness as my two favorites. At least as far as normal everyday, readily available beers.
Really can't wait for Skinny Dip to come out again. That stuff is so freakin good and awesome for summer.

Totally forgot to mention Founders. Their breakfast stout is TOP NOTCH stuff.
Recently enjoyed Breckenridge Vanilla Porter as well, and can't wait to find more Terrapin Depth Charge Espresso Milk Stout.

Do you ever do Black Magics? That mix has to be one of my favs.Erik95LS wrote:yeah, sam smith stuff is quite good. As is Chimay and most of the trappist Belgians. I'm pretty stuck still between #9 and Guinness as my two favorites. At least as far as normal everyday, readily available beers.
Last night at work I had 3 beer shots and a pint of cider at the end of the night. One of the shots we had was called a chocolate blueberry (Seadog Bluepaw topped with youngs double chocolate stout) very tasty!
