I have no idea, but I bet that if you look on the ballasts of the S2000 that they'll more then likely be using the same company.......
Why do you want to know?????

yeah, O.K.
Well, first of all, the Catz HIDs do not suck, they happen to be very expensive for a reason, provided that you're not talking about the Zeta system, and you are reffering to the real HID kit they recently came out with.
Secondly, Acura, Honda, or anyone else, does NOT use Catz HIDs, it's more likely a company like Sylvania, who provides a good portion of their headlight bulbs, or a company like Hella, who makes most of the HID products for US and Japanese, as well as German consumption.
As far as Catz and Philips goes, they both use Hella balasts and wiring, other then the bulbs, they are identical. Your best bet is to make sure that you get something that uses Hella balasts, mainly due to the fact that they are plug and play, and don't require any cutting and splicing.
Oh yeah, and by the way, the cheapest place to get them by far is Ebay, I got a set of Hella HIDs which retail for like 1200 bucks for $228 shipped, I see them there all the time, they go anywhere from like $200-$500. Just make sure you buy from someone who already has a lot of possitive feedback.
Good Luck,

Hella
Hella makes only one kit for all the different style bulbs, mine in particular is the 9006, many companies use their balasts and have several types of colored bulbs.
For an FYI, those of you who think that the color spectrum is 4300K to like 1200K, which is what some manufacturers advertise, you'll be interested to know, that the only light spectrum for HID light is between like 6400 and 7500 degrees Kelvin, anything higher then that is out of the visible light spectrum, and anything much lower then that wouldn't be a biproduct of burning Xenon gas. The reason why bulbs often appear more or less purple is because the gas mixture, or on some a purple coating, they are not any more bright, in fact if they are a higher Kelvin temp, they shed less visible light. The reason why some Mercedes, Audis, and other cars with HIDs from the factory, can appear to have a purple or violet tint to them, is the optics of the projectors at certain angles appear to be a violet color.

Hella kit $600, what a steel!!!
The bulbs that I have shed a sort of bluish violet light, but a lot more white then purple.
As far as you having seen the Hella kits for like $600, some people pawn off kits that have Hella balasts, as the Hella kit, but the only place you can buy the full Hella kit, is from Hella, or an authorized retailer, in which case, they are special order only. Hellas suggested msrp is is like $1219.98 or something, and wholesale on the kit is like $745, depending on your buying status from Hella.
The real Hella kit comes in a blue and yellow box that says "HELLA" on it, anything else is not the real Hella kit and may just use Hella balasts, such as the philips kit.......
