Trusted ITR motor suppliers? who to buy from?

Post by _hollywood »

I am going to be purchasing a motor for my R in the near future, of course I want the best deal and a nice low mileage example.

Who is a reputable source these days? osaka, jhp, passwordjdm? I just dont want somebody elses high mileage abused motor, I also dont want to pay over 5k for engine/trans, I would love to keep an R heart but if a k24 is around the same price then I might go that route, and the motor will stay NA with stock internals...

and what is the main difference between a 96-97 R motor and a 98-01 B18C5?

This will be going into a 97 btw.....

Thanks for the help guys....... :D

( why am I still a new ITRCA member when I have been here since 07? haha)

Yeah I sent the payment to him today, Ive wanted an R for a long time, and I figured might as well get the rarest model year and its the fastest color right? haha

I hope to have it done for next years expo ( if it happens), I am in afghanistan right now and wont get back until mid july...... :(

I forgot about hmotorsonline..thanks.....is that it for suppliers? and is a motor that sat in a warehouse for 10 years safe to run?

I wont go K, unless I find a crazy deal.......

this car is in good hands now, how many 97's are left?

Thanks guys
