I've only heard how awesome Jon D's car is with N1's from numerous people; however, I don't know if I could pay that price for something used when you can get selects for that price brand new.itr #1334 wrote:Anyone think these are worth checking out??

Ah kk. Im guessing i'll have to use something to avoid camber ware. Ill prob be ordering some things from Marc here soon so i'll keep that in mind.

I have Mugen N1s, there is absolutely NO comparison between PIC and Showa N1s. The end.
cheezthis:- Last year was much calmer compared to previous years.

Didn't know mooogen made n1's. I love. How rukes car rides so I'm set on pic
Re: The OT place for OGs to BS w/o BS.
I am with Tart on this. IMO, 1100 for those Spoon N1's is a terrific price. I have Mugen NZeros in the front (these have slightly more aggressive valving than the N1's) and Mugen N1's for the rear. I can say that my car rides much better than any PIC equipped car I have been in. As far as track comparo, I cannot help you with that but Jon D, Tart and myself are all happy with the performance of these on the track.
I have been using -2.4 in the front and -1.9-2.0 in the rear for years and I have yet to experience this "camber wear". IMO, no need for camber kits unless you are planning on adding neg. camber. Keep the car aligned and you'll see that the wear on the inner tire is a slow process.
EDIT: Wai is using Mugen N1's with Spoon valving IIRC. Hopefully he can chim in.

Spoon N1's trump my PIC R3's, regardless of what their spring rates are.itr #1334 wrote:Didn't know mooogen made n1's. I love. How rukes car rides so I'm set on pic

Nice really didn't want to them anyway. But Deff will get an alignment
Re: The OT place for OGs to BS w/o BS.
Got rid of the Skunk2 FUCAs after they failed at E9 and I destroyed a pair of Azenis after 3k miles. OEM ever since and I get NO camber wear.
Edit: And it was due to Erik and other's advice that I went back to OEM.

Re: The OT place for OGs to BS w/o BS.
I had Spoon N1's with 14K front and 12K rear Swift springs and I have now switched to PIC Selects with 12K front and 14K rear. While the PIC's are great there is no comparison to a Showa N1 damper with regards to ride quality.
Not that I regret selling them, just stating a fact.

A friend is offering me a 98 rolling shell and lots of cash for my car. I need to find out how much cash he's talking about...

You might come out ahead if you then sell the rolling shell. Might be something to think about.
Is it the one from that evilstar dude?

No no. I would love to have Sam's shell though. My friend Jarrod(redcoupe on OGHT and new HT) has a 98 shell he bought and had a turblow ITR swap in it. He's been wanting to go NA but its a bitch to sell a fully built turbo ITR swap.
Anyone have info on D series in an ITR? I know its been done, and met the dude that had one in his car for awhile at Brad's house. I doubt there's a write up on it since its not really something most people would want to do.

That would have been Kendall. I think there was a thread on POS HT about it, but not sure if it was real specific.

That's right. Couldn't remember his name. I'm gonna look that up. It's an easy way to get it driving. Hopefully my friend gives me what I'm asking for and I can get this done.
