Just reading experiences...here's an easy one I found again. Found a couple other similar stories on HT.
From the brake combo thread in GD here..
stinkycheezmonky wrote:In my experience with using them on 3-4 cars:
-Bedding procedure is SUPER important. If this is done wrong, everything sucks
-Pad "feel" left a lot to be desired, and was too progressive for me; I had to REALLY stand on the pedal to get decent bite, and had a number of times when it "felt" like the car wouldn't slow down enough. It did, but the feel was crummy.
-Pad wear was kind of high, and in some cases outrageously so (1 weekend and almost down to the backing plates). Apparently they have "good and bad batches". I've read elsewhere that this also leads to inconsistency in performance even among the same compound, but never experienced it personally.

The pad bedding and wear were the big things that bothered me. The bedding especially, if it was wrong (and I would do it "right" according to every other pad I've used) created HUGE shuddering and relatively poor overall braking performance. After they were broken in a bit more it got a lot better, but I wasted a few sessions getting them right. Tried sanding the pads at one point too, and rebedding, which helped marginally.

I know there are people who like them/ride the company nuts, but I have not had the same experience. Their customer service isn't bad, and they've been helpful when we had problems, but the product just isn't very good IMO.
Here's their procedure..

Thanks for the opinion Nate

I'm reminded of all those old rustic images of beat up pickup trucks from the 50's.

I really don't think you will enjoy DD'ing an S2k, but to each their own. That car is a great weekend car but it has some strong limitations when used as a DD IMO.

what was the point of selling your R, then selling your TL just to get an s2k that you're just going to have to sell because you want another R?

you'll just be paying the interest loaded parts of your car loans forever.

How much more do these pads have left in them? The shorter pads are my Cobalt GT-R Spec VR's which I like and have used for 5-6 events. The taller pads are practically new Cobalt GTS which I plan on bringing as back-ups. I just posted them for comparison sake.

Good deal. Thanks guys. Hopefully the GTS will remain back ups, as I have really enjoyed the VR's.

It fits my golf clubs, it fits my bowling bag, so it fits my needs.

Because I won't be getting another R until I have a house of my own, which won't be anything soon.

Let's see here...

- hook up vacuum lines for boost setup
- tune
- reinstall interior
- bleed brakes
- make sure to throw in extra set of new pads & rotors in car (autozone blanks + stoptech pads)
- check tire tread life (have to do this before Hyperfest, actually)
- install GoPro HD sport cam on bumper :D
- get body work done
- wrap the car w/ full car custom graphic vinyl :D
- more to come, i'm sure...

I just ordered ATE Superblue from OGRacing. I wasn't sure of a better source. I would check with Amazon for the Torco. I know of other two other sources for it but you are getting source with timing and they are the best communication wise.

Long term, if you want to split a case let me know.
