Yeah he said to not touch a skateboard for at least another 12 months, so much for that 15 year pasttime.

I doubt you'll be in a cast the whole time. 2 weeks after my operation (12 screws & 2 plates, tibia and fibula fractured completely) they put me in a 'walking' air boot. But no weight on that leg whatsoever.

First 2 days after the surgery were pretty brutal for me and the sleeping pills didn't do much at that point in time.
