Had an amazing night tonight. Saw lynyrd skynyrd and it started pouring right before they played sweet home Alabama and freebird. We got drenched rocking out to it.

VIP is the most hilarious fad of them all, some broke teenager takes a 10 year old sedan and throws curtains and pillows in it and tries to make it look as if they were financially smart.Erik95LS wrote:GTFO!elambz wrote:

Re: The OT place for OGs to BS w/o BS.
Here is some in-car from Sunday, first session. I say that as my instructor wanted me to take it about 85-90%. However, it will show my biggest problem. T11 &12 and not to say I don't have a lot of room to grow on other turns, I just feel these are my worst spots. I lose sooo much momentum. I just couldn't seem to really find a fast line. Any advice would be appreciated. Taylor had to cut a lot of the start of the video, but it was just a lot of passing miatas. haha. Ohh and you'll notice T4 was taken a bit cautiously as there was an oil spill the session before (you'll notice kitty litter). I'm really happy with my line through the carousel, as all weekend I seemed to outrun anyone in my group through it. I got promoted to intermediate which was a great sense of accomplishment. I learned a whole lot and am sooper stoked about getting back on the track. I definitely need to get some better tires, which could also be a big part of my issue with t11 & t12.
Anyways, starts out kinda slow, I really wasn't trying to overdrive my car for purposes of the video and again being the first session of the day I was not at full speed:

(I asked him to correct my car #)

Re: The OT place for OGs to BS w/o BS.
so now you can buy steve's spot and go to expo. DONE.
Good stuff man, glad you're getting it out on track. 11 and 12 can be pretty tough, especially 12. My biggest problem through it is gearing which the 4.9 basically takes care of. Take a look at my vids again to compare.

Re: The OT place for OGs to BS w/o BS.
I'm relieved to hear you say that. Hopefully this fall we can coordinate a turn one event or something similar as I would love to ride shotgun which yah. Watching your videos again, you're definitely carrying a lot more speed into T1 and T11 among others. Just shows I have a long way to go. During one session my instructor did say that we were definitely going to be spinning off the track at some point. Didn't know how to really take that, but I figured that was somewhat a good thing meaning I'm pushing myself and the car and at the same time a word of warning.Erik95LS wrote:so now you can buy steve's spot and go to expo. My last solo session was a rude awakening. My instructor weighing in at 270lbs reallllly effected the way my car handled - Vividly remember getting thrown out on T14 just touching the gators thanks to that extra weight not being on my passenger side keeping me planted.
By any chance, do you know Stephen Westerfield? Blue DA integra? Super cool guy.

It's looking unlikely, unless by then I'm a little more mobile with a more manageable cast but right now it's like dragging a 25lb weight on my leg. Really trying to focus healing on making mid ohio in August, that was the event I was looking forward to more than anything this year.Comp97GSR wrote:Steezy, you still coming to Expo to spectate? You can buy an Int or Nov spot and go to Adv. That's the only group you can transfer to because we have a lot of room in it. You can't buy an Int and go to Nov, or Nov to Int though.Civic_Sista wrote:Intermediate? Yes, I would be in advanced or intermediate. My car just doesn't have the HP that most of the advanced cars do.cheezthis wrote: You can buy an Int or Nov spot and go to Adv. I'm debating. It is equal to an entry fee, and I have 3 more entry fees 2 in august and one big one (runoffs) in September.itrsteez wrote:buy plz

Re: The OT place for OGs to BS w/o BS.
Just keep me posted...we're closing registration in the next day or so and starting to lock everything down. We have to provide all the names and other info to various people at that point, including the track/insurance stuff.

You have skillz though. HP isn't everything. Plus Advanced only has about 20 cars right now on a large track...shouldn't be much traffic. j00 prolly roll me hahaCivic_Sista wrote:Yes, I would be in advanced or intermediate. Not trying to sway you to one group or another....just jump in the pool somewhere
