I'm so sorry dude. You at least have a valid excuse to not go and sell your spot. I'v heard some pretty lame excuses:
-Family vacation
-Friends bailed
-Forgot to pay
-Distance

-sold ITR to get in on VIP craze
lol @ erik's patriotism remark.
I didn't sell my ITR to get into the VIP craze. I'm doing that because I'm stuck with the vehicle and want to atleast do something with it since I'm stuck with it. I know it isn't your guys cup of tea but every scene looks at the others like they are stupid too.
And it looks like I'm stuck with my ITR now too. The guy won't return my phone calls, and the one time he's answered he kept saying "Hello" like he couldn't hear me.
You guys act like Expo is the end all event of the world and missing it is like missing your mom's funeral. I've been to 3 in a row and have had a blast each time, but making myself broke just to go is not worth it. I'd rather save my money now, and attend the meets I can. I've been looking forward to Expo since I got home last year from E9 but it just isn't worth it. If the R was gone it might be a different story, but I really can't afford it now that I've put money into a car for a buyer who now won't contact me.
Bradstard wrote:If attending Expo makes you broke then you should not be attending. Financial stability is far more important.
And right now it will, which is why unless something changes I won't be attending, and even then I'm not so sure I want to attend. I can't justify spending the money on gas and food and lodging when I have bills to pay and now a car to try to sell again.
In the past couple months I've spent roughly $12,000 on "car/track stuff." That's how my wife looks at it at least. I apologize for being soooo pathetic trying to put some money back into the bank. This puts me in a bad situation trying to take out more money to drive my car to Expo, register, etc as it stands. Especially as I'm already missing July 4th weekend with my wife. Let me tell you, she doesn't support this trip ONE bit. ha! The best I really can do is hitch a ride to be a part of this experience.
Most of us here are not just friends, but close friends, so always keep that in mind. This event was only about cars the first time around. Every year since has been about hanging out with friends.
Yeah, I know. It's more of a I really friggin' hate that I don't have the extra dough to drive on the track. So the more you bust my balls about it the more flustered I get. LOL You're just twisting the knife in my heart.
P.S. On a lighter note, just finally booked my cruise for September. 7 days in the eastern Caribbean here we come!

Just sayin...
Are you even going?
Elambz, I like how you're all :whiny voice: "You guys are arrogant and I'm too good for Expo anyway" now that you are selling the R and getting into a fad-scene -- car "stuck with you" or not. :/whiny voice:
Expo 5 was over our wedding anniversary, and the wife let me go. I guess I should be thankful I have a wife that understands the "guy weekend thing" we have every year.
