I was just speaking in general. However, I agree, definitely not worth the misery if your significant other keeps handcuffs on you.

Bottomline, my wife is bummed when I leave home. If she wasn't, I'd be concerned. Regardless, I'm grateful for having a wife that cares that I spend as much of my free time with her.

My point is that there's a BIG difference between being bummed because you're not spending time together and spending that time in bed crying because she feels like her life is over and then hangs that over your head for the next week-50 years....

if they actually didn't care whether I was at home or existed or not then fuck em. That's the end of that.
