First post - Introducing 00-0567 #2?

Post by H34THBAR »

This is my first post here - been lurking for awhile, in fact I don't really post on forums much at all.

Its been a long time comin', but I am finally a proud owner of my very own FBP Type R. Just picked up 00-0567 from the original owner, came with the original window sticker and all the papers from the dealership etc. There has been a bit of confusion (for me at least) because there is a number 00-0567 registered on the registry already. I spoke with Matt at the ITR registry so we will see what comes of that.

Little about me:
I live in the Cincinnati area of Ohio so I hope to meet some fellow R owners around the area. I am a Honda Certified mechanic but I no longer work at the dealership, I decided to pursue bigger and better things. Anyway, just wanted to say hey to everyone and hopefully I can be of some positive use around here.

Congrats on the pickup :!: She looks pretty good...just a cleaning needed :P How many miles?

Yeah, I'm sure you're the one and only 00-0567. The other one in that listing was a theft recovery.

Enjoy and keep heR safe mang! There are one or two other Cinci ITRs and several more in OH.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. The mileage is sitting at 79,075 right now. I am going to do my best to attend Expo but the misses and I have a ton of home projects going on at the moment, so I'm playing it by ear at this point. That is the weekend of my birthday so that would be a nice little gift to myself :D

Out of curiosity, does most everyone do the track event or is it a good mix of banquet only people and drivers. I don't wanna roll up being the only dingus not driving.

haha, you won't be the only spectator. We have a lot of folks who just come to hang out with friends. Some even fly in and we'll pick 'em up at the airport. Expo is just a great time! I promise you do not want to miss it...especially this year, our 10th Anniversary :)
Home projects never end...I know this :P

I'm getting in touch with the other guy to see where he came up with his 567. Considering it is a theft recovery, I'm sure it was just a made up number from a previous owner or something.

Congrats on the find though. Finding an original owner willing to sell is not an easy task. I'll probably have your caR where it should be on the registry, and the other one fixed later today. See you at expo!

Did a little cleaning, I'll focus on the small details when it isn't so hot outside. I think the layer of dirt helped protect the valve cover because it was a gem underneath there.

Plan on taking the car to get some little dings around the outside taken care of by a local paintless dent repair guy. I'm hoping he can take care of them because I have no intentions of messing with the original paint.
