I'd use OEM for daily use and switch to another pad/rotor for the track. You shouldn't be driving your car hard enough on the street that your OEM pads can't do the job. Now on track you'd definitely want a better pad.

i get employee discount and acura so really they are half the price. wait not fair, member PMed me on a set of cheap HPS'. but still.

how well do the OEMs perform on an overpowered R? lol. my R is turbocharged (~300whp). i guess sense i dont plan on tracking it anytime this year i should be fine, and wait till i outgrow then on the track?

As Chris said, I hope you arn't doing anything silly on the streets. Given your setup though, I would air on the side of caution and go with the HPS (especially if they are cheaper). I would stress though that those pads are not huge step up.

price on the OEMs is like 45 with tax and the HPS like 73shipped....

nothing silly... i just live in seattle/everett area. traffic comes out of nowhere. need to be able to get from like 75 to nothing quick sometimes lol

i think i smoked my current setup in the process of tuning my motor and trouble shooting a bad VTEC solenoid. trying to bring it up to 5500rpms (and 10psi) while on the brakes taxed them lol. rotors are a little warped.

I'm planning to go to my very first lapping session this week. Does the OEM pad will be Ok? I dont want to break anything on the car and come back with a toasted brake setup. Everyone is telling me itr is a track car blah blah...but when I read this thread I'm not sure I should go to the track with OEM pads...

I would be a little hesitant especially now in the summer days. O.E.M. were designed to only take so much.

You can do it but be sure to brake check long before they're needed , I just stress to flush the fluid out to ATE superblue or Motul 600. I'd suggest throwing a set of HP+'s on the fronts since you can score them for under $100

Here is my question in regards to ATE Blue brake fluid. I was told that to run this fluid I would need to have stainless steel brake lines, is that true for the ITRs?

I believe this statement is made because of the fluid is DOT 4.

If they're still original lines, it may be something that should be looked into replacing soon. With that said, you might as well swap with SS. However, replacing with Rubber will do no harm.

Aftermarket SS lines are cheaper than OEM rubber lines.

I have these Techna Fit SS lines. Heavy duty exterior coating. Made on same line as Stop-Techs.
