What to bring to Expo?
So being my first time, I figured I'd ask those seasoned expo attendees what, if anything I should bring?
So this banquet deal Saturday night, is this a shirt & shorts or 3 piece suit ordeal?
I plan on drinking and swimming at the hotel, so swimming trunks are on the list. I'm bringing my camera for sideline coverage. My helmet for ride-alongs. Some scrub clothes - Since i'm not driving I might as well help where I can by getting my hands dirty on some lug nuts in the paddock.
Is there anything else I should plan on bringing?

See if Erik is bringing a canopy. Those come in handy.

Re: What to bring to Expo?
Ahh yes that brings up a chair, I'll bring my collapsible thingamajigger. (Right now Erik is reading this and thinking WTF where am I going to fit all of his stuff)
So I take it the banquet is at the track, everyone just walks there after track sessions are over?

Re: What to bring to Expo?
plenty of room for such things. I've fit more stuff in this car than you could even imagine possible. That should be pretty much all you need. You and you alone should probably wear a sky blue prom tux to the banquet though. Go rent one.CivicBeater wrote:Ahh yes that brings up a chair, I'll bring my collapsible thingamajigger. A grill, condiments, meat etc. now there is a solid idea. I wouldn't mind making lunch for those stupid enough to eat it. We'll decide this at our fine accommodations in Huntington.

Food at the track is expensive. If someone can bring a small propane grille I'l gladly cover their food.

Agreed... I've never been to autobahn, but VIR tended to be pricey when we were there. i'd also throw cash your way if u grilled out. plus, I'll be sporting a 10 x 17 canopy w/ a table and everything for fillin out surveys, etc. if you cook, you can sit under it lol...

Banquet is black-tie event, you will not be admitted without suit and tie, no sneakers

Re: What to bring to Expo?
I've recently learned that I need to unbolt the seat out of my R to replace Erik's passenger seat for the drive.

Speaking of seats, what car are we using to pick-up skanks? Seems like everyone is backseatless

Good point. Even better for us they probably can't tell the difference between a R and an LS.Erik95LS wrote:since when do they need seats?CivicBeater wrote:Speaking of seats, what car are we using to pick-up skanks? Seems like everyone is backseatless

Re: What to bring to Expo?
I heard that cases of beer work well for seats. Or you can use someones car that has a roll bar/cage. They should be used to handing onto poles.
Craig - Who is thinks the skanks we are looking for will know how to work the pole.

I laughed at skanks knowing how to work the pole

Hell yeah... I'm not going to pay 7 dollars a beer at the airport.CivicBeater wrote:Eric - Who thinks Craig has already cracked open a few beers prior to typing that.
