The OT place for OGs to BS w/o BS.

Anything goes? Well, if you keep it clean and aren't obnoxious.

I was just teasing. It's good stuff to know how to do if you want to alter a certain picture after the fact. For the genuine stuff just keep practicing. You did pretty well though. Just slow down the shutter and practice panning.

I think my biggest downfall was using AF. Now that I think about it, it was trying to refocus as I was panning. I'm sure it's a dumb question, but I assume everyone uses MF when panning? It seemed if I tried to slow my shutter anymore the AF would just kick my ass.

if you've got a quick enough lens you can get away with AF. Otherwise yes, MF is where it's at. These were all AF, but with L-glass. http://www.erikhegg.com/2010/May/NASACMP/ Not that they're even all that great. Could've slowed it down a good bit more.

God, Slagg is almost as big a clown as National Speed... I remember him blowing his motor every single HC weekend back in '02

I'll call you boys soon, the engine room here will be in full swing shortly. I've got (2) Z6's (1) C1 and (1) C5 "junkyard" chitboxPOSKserieskillermess to build.

You don't always need a good lens. This was with a $130 Tamron 70-300mm with the original Digital Rebel years ago at the Petit Lemans race at Road Atlanta.

Have you had your 1st b-day party yet?

We are having our 10th (for the oldest) today and had an 8th birthday party a few weeks ago.
I picked up 2 toys-R-us bikes (hangs head in shame) for the girls. Cheap and heavy. :?

We will be at Oak Island the week of Aug. 15 thru 21... and will ferry over to grab a bag of dougnuts and swing by K38 for a meal. ;)
