00-0031 PY Shell, Upstate SC PRICE LOWERED again - $5000
00-0031 PY Shell, Upstate SC PRICE LOWERED again - $5000
Finally, it's time to list her for good. She is now to be sold as a shell. Part FS thread coming shortly.
A bit of history first. I purchased the car from the original owner back in 05. Scott was on his way to Expo 5 when the caravan he was travelling in got bunched up. He ended up going under the car in front of him causing front end damage. His insurance company totalled the car (I have pics somewhere to show damage, and what I did to fix it) I'm not really sure why they totalled it, as it only cost me about 2k to fix all of it. I replaced the headlights, bumper, hood, rad support and radiator. That was it, no frame rail damage, or even fender damage. Another point to note about the car, when purchased (and I have a TON of paperwork on the car) it had 10k miles on the engine. The previous owner hydrolocked the car and had Honda replace the motor. I have all of the paperwork proving this and the milage the car was at when this happened.
So that's how I bought the car, and purchased with full intension to make a dedicated track car out of it. Through the years I have only added top quality parts and the build/parts list reflect that. I have a lot of time and money invested in the car. As of late the car is WICKED fast, both down a straight and through the corners. Currently, she is NOT registered on the street, however I have the original clean title and if a potential buyer would want the car registered I'm sure I could make that happen here in SC (no inspections at all, not even visual) It may, or may not end up with a clean title if it was registered, even given past history on the car. The car was also recently repainted and currently does not have the ITR decals on the sides, or rear.
Car was gutted and caged to NASA Spec of that year (06 I believe is when it was caged) using cromoly. I forget the DOM specs, but there were 2 that year and I went with the thicker of the 2. Why? Because as I told the cage builder if I ever did flip the car, I wanted to make sure I would survive.
The car has a Momo Monte Carlo steering wheel (350mm) with NRG hub and lock.
24 or 26 piece PIC bushing kit
All decals are currently not on the car, other than the PIC banner on the windshield.
The car currently has 63161 miles on it
I'm not in any rush to sell the car, as I know the right buyer is out there. The ONLY trades I would consider is a 97 ITR shell, plus cash.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I

Damn, it's that time. I hope this doesn't mean you're going to dip into obscurity once it is sold.
Now if you do have to part I will put dibs in on the spoom clappers

Re: 00-0031 PY Located in SC $14,500
Thanks guys.
Also, to add it has Benen tow hooks front and rear.
Motor is low mileage, just rebuilt around 500 miles on it. Car/chassis has around 70 something thousand miles.

*Correction* After moving the car this weekend I peeked at the odo... it's only 63k miles on it. I bought it with around 58K on it. Also, the car has PIC hard rubber bushings, the IIRC 24 piece kit they used to offer.

Guy has backed out of buying. Now will be selling as a shell and parting out the rest.
Depending on how you would like the shell, will depend/drive the price. Will also be posting on RR/AX and other sites.
Post with parts and prices will be coming soon, still working on price matrix and inventory of what I have.

Yup, 2 off at VIR with Mr. Willis in the passenger seat. Later that day off at T1 in the rain close to 100 MPH. Whoops! Lesson learned that day is do NOT trail brake in the rain...
Re: 00-0031 PY Located in SC $14,500
I'll gladly take the pic's from you.

If I was keeping my car I'd kill someone to put the Gen 2 back on 0288.

Agreed! I want a Gen 2 with a badness! But unfortunately I will only be able to afford a replica. So I prolly won't get one...elambz wrote:If I was keeping my car I'd kill someone to put the Gen 2 back on 0288.

There are a few things that I know where they are going already.
The intake is staying with me.

Parting time...
I'll sell the shell, with OEM suspension, OEM brakes, new PIC 24 or 26 piece bushing kit, no spoiler, no interior, will have steering wheel and hub, along with original cluster showing the 63k miles. Has 6 point weld in cage that will pass any SCCA or other sancationing body code (was built for HC originally)
I think of other things as time goes...
6K firm.

LOL, yes yes... you and the clappers... and Ryan and the seats, and the PIC and the spoiler...
I'm honestly trying to make sure there is interest in the shell at XYZ price before actually parting the other stuff.

Re: 00-0031 PY Located in SC $14,500
So... it will ONLY be sold as a shell now. I got new pics this weekend.
Also, I am going to work on getting the cars title in my name. It will most likely come out as a clean title with 63k. on it
Looking to get 6K for the shell, rolling.
Does NOT come with spoiler, SW388's, Spoon Twin block calipers, mounts, rad hoses, ECU, seats. I do have the corner lenses however.
