i am trying to replace my stock stereo with a kenwood that i bought a few years ago for my other integra. after spending an hour trying to remove the two 8mm screws holding the stereo i deemed it next to impossible. i tried a philips head and a socket wrench and both did not work at all. is there a special tool to use to take this out or do i have to remove the whole damn dashboard?
i had trouble fitting the tools in the limited space behind the dash
thanks ,

stock stereo?
Re: stock stereo?
No no special tool needed you just need either a flex drive screwdriver or a long tipped one. and a small set of hands.

You name the vice, I'll name the price.

I have done this so many times now it takes 3-4 minutes to get it out. Here are my few tips.
1) 1/4 drive ratchet, long exstension, 8mm socket (I prefer deep well)
2) Lay on the passenger floor board and look up behind the center console with light.
3) Do not remove just loosen a bit
4) Push on the back of the radio
