Old Porsches are pretty easy compared to the modern ones.
It would of been far too late, I didn't want to impose; however, I didn't know Carmelitas were involved. That could have tipped the scales.

Yeah, it was pretty cool. I often regret getting rid of it but I owned it for 15 years.I got kind of bored with it. I kept it almost completely as delivered other than a few safety and reliability mods. The car was never titled. I had the MSO from Porsche to Holbert Motorsports. It handled so well. I put about 10K track miles on it. I'm also happy that Erik got a chance to drive it at the track.

I'll have to think hard about that..... 5000+ miles of towing for two days of driving is kind of a stretch for this old guy. I've had a pipe dream of hitting a number of the left coast tracks, especially Laguna. I'd want to try to hit about 4 of them over two or three weeks. I did the Bondurant school at Sears Point ( Infineon for you youngsters) back in 87. Would love to do it now that I've learned how to drive.

That sounds like a lovely vacation. Perhaps one of these years all of the stars would align for that one.

I suspect that retirement would have to be involved. I'm not real optimistic that Erik's Mom would find this to be stimulating, either. :(

Just give the misses a few days in Napa valley and go wine tasting? maybe you could justify it that way?

She likes Napa and Carmel/Monterrey. That's always been my hope to get her to go. I think she'd make me tow and she'd fly out there
