Tax benefits will be cool, but if things go as planned I want to just throw that money towards the principle. 30yr term @ 4.5. I wasn't super excited about the rate, but I realize I wasn't exactly prepared in terms of planning so the points hurt me there I'm sure. It would have nice if I had stocked back some cash instead of traveling all summer and buying a MBP.

When things are "normal" rates are around 7-8%, take that 4.5 and be stoked.

And please don't regret traveling all summer.

And post recession in the 80's interest rates were in the mid teens. 4.5 is an AMAZING rate.

Agreed. Saw one in atlanta the other day for 2800. Always wanted a db2. Theres one on ebay for the last 2 months for 8k lol. Its never gonna sell
