YOUR TIMESLIP!

Post by GSRT60-1 »

I ran a 15.08@93.4mph on my stock OBDII GSR with only intake and exhaust no headers.....then I came back a ran it with ZEX nitrous KIT 75 shot wet clocking 14.22@97.6mph with a 3cylinder running a blown spark plug all day I didn't not know until the next morning when I started up and felt a misfire . I should have bought ZEX Spark plug before I went not the DEALER Laser Platium SPARK PLUG it only for N/A not meant to be use on a Turbo OR a NOS motor. ZEX it safe to use try it out and see it yourself I didn't believe it so I try it myself I beat an TypeR Fully built with Stage 2 JUN cam,JUN valve springs and retainers,Toda Piston and Toda header and Mugen ECU and MUGEN Exhaust ..I could not belived it he spend so much money and I just somke him by like 3 cars hahaha worth my $600 bucks OH remember I was only running with a 3 cylinder and I was clocking 14.5 best after I had my 2nd run with the mustang 5.0 13.56 and 1 run with a Corvette with 14.14. I got smoke .
ZEX Nitrous is the way to go!!!!!!!!

107 is too high to be legitemate for a 13.7. Ask Active Aero. . .

your sig says 14.1 and your post says 13.7. . . . Not sure if one is a typo.

107 is higher than any all motor street honda on street tires is going to go. Active Aero ran . .
60'....2.1 ( have hit a 2.0 on a different occasion)
1/8mi....8.8@81mph
1/4mi....13.737@100.4mph (best trap of 100.7mph)

and I ran a 13.8 at 101. It would take another 60-70 hp to get to 107mph.

yeah I am boosted....I made 230whp and 192wtq as a baseline before I tuned it a bit on the street......the 14.1 is with the mods in the sig and I pulled a 2.1 60ft on that run.....I haven't changed the sig cause I want to wait till I get a respectable run in

Holly 60' time. I would kill to have a 2.1 60'. I am running a 2.4-2.6 60'. Best time is a 15.081 @ 93 MPH. I weighed the car the other day 2844 lbs with me in the car I am 195 lbs. I would like to be in the low 14's w/o forced induction and then add a NX KIT. I ordered an APEX-i VAFC and I am doing a clutch and aluminum flywheel. I think with proper tuning I should accomplish my goal.

My first time at the strip was wednesday.

14.72 @ 96.5mph. Every other run was in the 14.7-14.9 range, all 95-97 mph, all 2.35 or worse 60 ft times. Oh, stock R with bolt on (mugen intake, oem jdm header, fujitsubo exhaust), full interior, no ps belt.

Launching is very frustrating. I couldnt figure it out all night (15 runs).

I suppose modulating the gas might help, because feather the clutch did nothing at all....

First time at the track last night with new motor

Stock Michelins at 28psi
3800 RPM launch

Ran consistant 14.5's @ 95-96MPH

BTW, 13.7 @ 107 is way to high MPH....I raced my friend in his Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 last night and I ran 14.563 @ 96.42 and he ran 13.306 @ 103.31 so 107 MPH would have to put you around 13 flat, high high 12's.

What's done to your car Trey? PM me if you don't wanna tell the world... I went to the track last night with your times in mind, so I know I can go faster... cause if you can do it, I can do it (if you're no using boost, etc..) I know I can get close to that due to a few higher 98mph runs I had. Anyhow, my goal is to break into the 13's. Any RPM launching advice? what RPM do you launch at to acheive your 13.8.

well I went to the track again yesterday... however they wouldn't let me use the slicks this time (pissed me off, cause they've let me use them the last few events that were the same thing) so I had to run my stockers which I didn't plan on using at all.. played around with tire pressure about 8 different times and couldn't get a good 60 ft. if my life depended on it... didn't matter what the tire pressure was set at (tried 15psi, 18, 20, 25, 28, 35, 38psi, etc..) I ran about the same 98.xx mph and the 60's stayed the same. shitty day at the track, however my times weren't that bad I guess concidering the tires I was on, oh well... My friend and I both ran 32 times last night from 4pm to about 8:30 when they shut the track down... best 60' of the night was 2.291.

overall fastest 1/4 mile slip of the night was run #27 :

Eric, In the slip that was above I had an ARM CAI, JDM 4-1, stock exhaust and an Untuned Power FC. I also had a 2001 Type-R Intake cam.

The reason I have higher trap speeds at the same ET is the fact all my runs are on street tires.

last racing event of the season in this area was this last weekend (Halloween Weekend) and I was able to run my overall fastest ET along with MPH so I was extremely happy with the cars performance this weekend. Here's my two fastest runs... hope to get video of them up soon. Ran 13.9 on my first pass, then managed to pull 13.5xx consistantly for the next 12 or so runs back to back to back...
