Need a flange, but don't know what size or where to buy?
Need a flange, but don't know what size or where to buy?
So I got a stock header, cat and exhaust for my car, but there's one problem. The mid pipe has no flange to bolt to the cat. I called up a shop who I know would do good work and it'd be right, but they want $150 to weld a flange on. What size flange do I need for that, and where in the world would I buy one? I know if I can get the parts, I have friends who can weld it.

He probably does, but I didn't think to just buy the flange from him.coolhandluke wrote:Does the shop not have flanges in stock?

I would think that price would include the flange, but you can ask him to double check. A flanged setup is also the best way to go here, good thinking.

I just think the $150 price is a little high just to weld a flange onto a pipe. Maybe I'm wrong though.

You can get an individual flange from kteller dot com for $7

and

I have a 2000 Integra LS with a new 'B' pipe. I measured the inside diameter, before I put the 3 bolts from the cat in. That inside diameter is 1 7/8"
If you check the part number for the gen 3 intergras (not counting the R) you find the same part number for all of the cats.
So you need a 3 hole flange for a 2" outside diameter 'B' pipe.
Does anyone disagree, with this?

NICE. i will have to remember that link! thanks
i did a test pipe for a buddy a little while back, ordered the cat side from JHPUSA, but didnt notice/find the back end of the cat. luckily i had the one i cut off my turbo exhaust (put a different flange on my exhaust) that was still new...
and i sure as hell wouldnt spend 150bucks to have 1 flange welded on. i can buy a brand new B-pipe from acura for close to that. thats a $20-40 job w/flange.
