I've made many ~8 hour trips to this track, the far majority as a spectator, and I have always had a good time.
If we end up coming down it will definitely be as spectators. My caR is nowhere near being track ready...and neither am I for that matter.

There are a few sections at MAM that are simply larger versions of Gingerman, as an example. However, Autobahn is definitely a bit different, and the same for the original BeaveRun design (when will they finish the south course!?).

That's right after my bday, and I think that way would be a fun way to celebrate. I'm pretty sure I finally have the car running the way I'd like. :) I'll find out Monday...Autobahn Full instructing...
For me CMP is a blast (granted my only other comparison is autobahn lol) and the group of people always make it a ton of fun. I generally drive the farthest of the group to get there, 10 1/2 - 12 hours depending on traffic. This will be my 3rd time making the trip (should have been the 4th but couldnt make it to the summer event).

Since my Z1 star specs are done after expo, I think I will be trying out some RE-11's... have read and seen good things on them.

Andys XS - RE-11 comparison vid. was pretty cool and he seemed to really like them at Expo.

Andy is trying to get us some coupons. I'm hoping that pans out. The downside is 205/50/15's are on back order in NA.

Same. I did all 5 events this year on one set...and there still is tread left. Dry stickiness was awesome. In the wet, I do prefer the feel and hydroplane resistance of the Star Specs though.
Plan is to have the stock wheels with Star Specs and the Slips with the RE11s....when I get un-lazy and refinish the OEM wheels..

Yeah I've done all of my events this year on them, I thought my tread was getting low and I made the mistake of going "yeah I probably have 2 events left on these", andy was quick to tell me I had at least 8. Shows how much I know. "no way dude, they're just getting good"

Yeah the 13-14th weekend will definitely be more fun, but there will be a few todds in attendance for the 6-7th.

I'm going to be.

Not to hi-jack this thread too much, but I'll be moving to Coral Springs in a couple months. My wife is already there. I'm glad I won't be hardpressed to find someone in the area to do some tracking with :)
