Norway --> USA

Post by extrah »

Hey guys!

I`ll be heading to the US for a business trip, in the beginnig of November.
Looks like i`m going to stay there for the rest of the year. (hopefully back to christmas eve)
This will be my first trip overseas, so i`m really looking forward to it. :)

First i`ll stay in a town called Moses Lake, outside Seattle WA for approx 1 month.
After that, i`m moving to some small village(?) called Butte or Silver Bow in Montana.

I have a feeling these locations aint ideal for getting the most out of a visit to the US - What do you think?
Anybody living nearby or have any idea of something worth spending spare time to?

Butte is the biggest city I know of in Montana. I forget who, but someone famous in the US is from there, say it on the History channel the other day but can't remember whom.

Seattle should be fun for ya. Lots of imports scene there and lots of beer from there if your interested in either.

If you get the opportunity while here to head east take advantage of that as well, or south to Cali.

Define cheap? If you plan accordingly, you could probably get a round trip for less than $300.

Plenty of folks would be glad to pick you up.

Sums it up nicely! Prepare for rain this time of year. If you like american football, check out a Seattle home game. Insane home crowd! The Northwest is microbrew paradise, so theres plenty of brew to check out :P

American sports? Baseball? That's over for the season.

What other sports are you thinking?

Seattle is a meca for Microbrews from what I hear.

Also, make sure to hit up White Rocket. He's in BC, about 2-3 hours north of you.

Baseball was one of the sports i was thinking about, but would be nice to see hockey, basketball or american football as well.
I`m not really that interested in neither of those sports - It`s more the atmosphere that looks like something worth experiencing. :)

I`ll PM him later, when i know more about what days i got off from work.
Thanks for the heads up! ;)

Hey extrah! As Dave mentioned, I'm in Vancouver, BC. Just north of Seatown. About a 2-3 hour drive. I wouldn't mind heading down to visit on a Saturday or Sunday. Let me know your dates and plans and we'll see if we can make something happen.
