Anyone ever filed a claim with NC DOT? Apparently the sweeper trucks were out of commission yesterday as driving to work and hopping on the beltline my car was pelted with asphalt "marbles" this morning thanks to the remains of new paved lanes and busy traffic. I unfortunately now have a chipped windshield.

I sent a complaint in and they gave me a number to file a damage claim..Hmmm I might do it. It was pretty bad and I do feel they're responsible. I wonder how long the turn-around would be.

Unless you have shitty insurance, you should be able to get new glass with little hassle and no money out-of-pocket.

I'm extremely leary of asking for anything from my insurance company. They just look for reasons to raise my rates.

Who do you have? I've claimed four windshields in the past seven years, two of those being OE Volvo-stamped glass. $500 windshield on a car I paid about that for
