Re: The OT place for OGs to BS w/o BS.
So I'm looking at putting two 10's in the trunk of the TL since the factory sub blows donkey balls. The box I'm looking at has 1.20 cubic feet per chamber. I've been out of the car audio scene for a long time. What are some decent subs today that don't break the bank?

Re: The OT place for OGs to BS w/o BS.
I want to just upgrade the sub in the back of my TL, but from what I read doing that is a pain in the ass. I'm okay with the stock Bose system for now.Bradstard wrote:So I'm looking at putting two 10's in the trunk of the TL since the factory sub blows donkey balls. too bad there aren't any stealthbox enclosures for the TL. For something a bit better and very non-intrusive they're really pretty good.

pretty much, but the JL Stealthboxes were usually invisible or close to it. That wouldn't be too bad though. I've got dual 8s in the M3 and they're perfect. Zero loss of trunk space.

I can't put subs in my trunk or else they'd get destroyed by the 70lb bowling ball bag that free roams in my trunk. I'm thinking I should just upgrade my speakers and hope that satisfies me. Luckily the bowling bag won't affect me suspension wise. The coilovers I'm getting are coming with stiffer rear springs so that should help with the added weight.

Cargo net doesn't work, I've got one. It gets in the way more than it helps.Erik95LS wrote:nothing a cargo net/simple strap wouldn't fix with zero effort?

Doesn't fit anywhere but the trunk.
Haha. I bowl in 2 leagues a week, and have nowhere to put the bag downstairs, so I'd have to lug it up to my room on the 3rd floor. Nooooooo thanks.Erik95LS wrote:never know when a flash bowling game might break out.Doespike wrote:...or dun take yer balls everywhere

I didnt know you were such a freak for the heavy balls Chris! Thats a pretty intense bowling bag.
Just throw another OEM sub in there somewhere and wire it to the old one, I have zip ties and electrical tape

I'm reminded of this every week when I have to get it out and then back into the trunk. Its gonna be even worse when I bowl PBA Regionals up in Ohio in March. I'll probably bring 6 balls with me instead of the normal 4 I take to league nights.Little_Nolan wrote:Thats a pretty intense bowling bag.
