If you had to do it again.....
Thought this would be a good thread considering the mindset of most here:
So hypothetically speaking for most...
If you were caRless and were in the market for a track toy; is there something out there that has always intrigued you? Something that you've always told yourself, "damn, those must be fun driving/owning! etc."
(I know you diehards out there won't be able to see yourself in anything but an R, but I thought this would be worth a shot.)
Come spring time I'll hopefully be in a situation to pick up another toy. I've had this long itch to take a S2k out on the track and see what I'm capable of doing in one. Seeing that it's still a honda platform the uber reliability of owning one is very appealing along with my experience of seeing them in action on the track - really has me sold. Unless a super steal on some random car comes along at that time I may bite the bullet on one for my next toy. The second on my list is a K powered EK. I've always had minor boners for some well put together EK's, topping it off with a K mota' would give some fun thrills out on the track fo sho while surprising some unsuspecting faggits in miatas. The 3rd and most unrealistic, would have to be a E46 M3. Always wanted one, however it just isn't practicable tracking one. Power, luxury, styling...Ughhhh sexy sexy!
Soooo, your turn...

E36 M3's have grown on me quite a bit. Prolly my next choice for a car that handles and is fun. Definitely would like to try some RWD goodness. I don't think I'd choose one over the R....but would be a great compliment.

Eric, in all honesty you're better off renting cars the rest of your life.
My next car is going to be a truck.

I should probably work at a used car dealership. Would help my constant need to drive different cars. :shrugitrsteez wrote:Eric, in all honesty you're better off renting cars the rest of your life.

B13 SE-R. Pretty comparable to ITRs and a whole lot cheaper.
2000 FBP ITR #0288
Re: If you had to do it again.....
I would have tracked the PY just as it was with minor changes (brake pads and such)
I would have taken the several grand put into the car and spent it on tons of track time.

Eric, I would honestly sit tight. Not to bash, but if you account for the amount of money you have spent in the past 1-2 years on registration costs along, you would probably have a cow. You are moving to a new area soon, so I would probably wait until you get settled in there before picking up anything for fun. The new move may have your garage full of junk for the next six months, and you have no idea how safe or unsafe your new living environment is going to be. From there, a cheap honda trash can would be the top of my list for track cars.

Outside of the LSD I'm not sure how they're comparible.
I did have D stuffed in the trunk of my mexican SE-R (it really was a mexican market one) so he didn't have to pay $10 to watch drag races once though.
Just sold that car for $200.
