The OT place for OGs to BS w/o BS.

I mean, we are Honda elitest douchebags in the eyes of everyone else. We might as well add Bimmer prick to our resume.

While it's cool to own one I wouldn't of done it again without knowing I had a reliable honda sitting in the garage this time around, that was the key factor in purchasing one again.
Unrelated: GoPro HD firmware release, finally supports upside down footage, about time.

Yeah, I've been feeling the same way...want to take some of the summer DD away from the R and Lucy is getting tired. I also just want to try something different but still a fun toy. RWD Eurobucket is different. haha An 04-05 STI is also tempting...beat up and cheap...would be a great year-round bumper car.itr #1334 wrote:i do want to pick up a DD this summer.

Ill prob pick up a hatch or dc this summer. I want something all stock and less attractive to thieves. In that case i may end up with something non honda.

03 TL with 199k miles. No thief wants that car, trust me. I can sell you one if you're interested.itr #1334 wrote:Ill prob pick up a hatch or dc this summer. I want something all stock and less attractive to thieves. In that case i may end up with something non honda.

I was going to convince a co-worker looking for a toy to purchase. Even at that, I love white and that car looks extremely mintyful!

Although this is not mine it's nice to see the e46's starting to show the test of time, this is on the original motor and a limited amount of maintenance.

It's still young. Most BMW owners (the recent class of them anyway) are total pussbags though and sell their cars before they even hit 50k fearing they're going to explode. Or they wad them up. BMW engines have alway historically been able to last as long as and often longer than and be easily as reliable if not more so as Hondas with very basic maintenance. Loads of older 6 cyls with over a million miles on them and still running strong. The s50 is just as good and the s54 is heavily derived from it. Only really had the early bearing issue which was a supplier problem. Still cracks me up that people "know" BMW as a maintenance nightmare. Just don't buy anything post 99 other than the E46.CivicBeater wrote:Yikes! I just don't know shit about these cars, going to force myself to start learning this time though like doing all of the VANOS PM work. I actually have to order the $90 DIY oil change kit today, lol.Erik95LS wrote:It's still young.
