Adam Corolla would have made the cast much better. I've yet to see anything more than 3 minutes of it, but I know he's a great comedian and car buff.

Drove the R 'home' tonight. Its sitting up at work so that tomorrow I can warranty the battery in it since it was replaced less than a year ago and is dead, and then fix whatever is wrong with my right rear tire. Swapped tires from the millennia wheels I gave to Jarrod to my stock gunmetals and the right rear keeps going flat. Soooooo nice to drive the R with stock suspension and stock exhaust. Sounds great, handles great and I love it again. by doing the math, if I sell the TL and keep the R, and pay a decent amount each month on my credit card, I can be CC debt free by end of 2011. I'm gonna see if I can spread the word on selling the TL and put it in the paper/craigslist and get it sold.

CivicBeater wrote:So what is everyones thoughts on Top Gear USA? First off I think they need to cast new hosts. Tanner foist is cool bc everyone knows he can drive the tires off evrything however they need to find more knowledgeable or more funny hosts to replace the other guys.
It's boring and awkward. I wish they would have at least used one guy from Top Gear UK to keep some of the same personality.

You've got to love British humor. To make the USA show successful they do need to have there own twist on things. I think it's going in right direction, however to really make it into something i feel they need new hosts for sure. The key west show was prob my favorite.

Opened up a savings account and threw $200 in there. I think I'm gonna transfer $100 a month into it to start with and just go from there. I should have done this savings account thing a long time ago. I had one with my previous bank, but hadn't had more than the minimum in there since at least 2004.

It's hard to say how I feel about the new US Top Gear as I have only seen the first episode. I think it is unfair to judge the pilot of a new cast against that of seasoned veterans like the UK Top Gear. What season are they on now, 15? My initial take is that I agree on Tanner fits the role well, but they other two don't. I need to watch more episodes to really get a good take on the show though.

Person who was interested bought a 98 while my car was broke down. Snow storm made it impossible to get fixed, so he had to go buy something else. Got another person interested but he's changed his mind on me before. I also found some more things that needed to be fixed last night while driving it, so its gonna cost me more money. Smart thing might be to keep it instead of sinking money into it and then selling.

3 leg it for now. I'd rather drive Lucy in the snow....plus salt is already sending her to rusty hell. Doubt I'd go over 3 cars for awhile...unless it was temporary before selling something I already have. I wouldn't mind replacing Lucy with a TJ Jeep...
