How much do you pay and whats your plan/provider? Other than Sprint and NTelos I can't think of a major provider that has a 'cheap' everything plan.coolhandluke wrote:I still think $90/mo for a cell phone is ludicrous.

Yeah, I'll have to agree. My $69 a month for unlimited everything is rediculous.

Mine is $87 after everything with a 22% corporate discount... my plan is very basic (450 minutes, 1500 texts, etc)

$69? Don't you have Verizon? How do you get a $69 everything plan? I haven't seen anything like that when I've been looking through Verizon.Dave_B wrote:Yeah, I'll have to agree. My $69 a month for unlimited everything is rediculous.

Had T-mobile for years and years (since 98 actually, whatever it was called then)elambz wrote:$69? Don't you have Verizon? How do you get a $69 everything plan? Wife has Sprint. When it came time for me a new phone, T-mobile didn't have anything I wanted and that's when I found out about the Sprint everything (and, not limited like Verizon and others)
It's fully FULLY unlimited, anything anytime with the exception of 1400 minutes to LAN lines (who calls those at all, let alone 1400 minutes)
On top of that, Angela and I both have Sprint now, phones were only $30 (both were eligable for upgrade pricing)
So, it's $140 for both phones, then 20% discount, out the door 2 unlimited everything phones on the same plan for $108.

Re: Technology Thread
Ahh I thought you had verizon for some reason Dave. That makes sense with sprint. I wish my company's discount wasn't BS. One of my customers works for AT&T and kept telling me I should sign up. I'm gonna see if she can hook me up better since this discount sucks. I'm not switching to verizon until I hear about a 4g iPhone. I think verizons lte network will be better than AT&Ts hspa+ network.

Re: Technology Thread
I agree, largely in part due to Verizon's coverage versus AT&T.

Re: Technology Thread
Interesting....I've been reading up on this and it doesn't appear that I can break it untethered without a mac pc to load the program files on to. Looks like most people are waiting on the windows version to come out.Dave_B wrote:I know Bradstard has. PM him on the details.
I'll wait for bradstard to chime in or I'll pm him lata on. Thanks for the heads up!

My AT&T bill was ~$81 with about the same stuff (1500 text's/450mins/unlimited). I never use to get over ~230mb... now it is a minimum 500mb.
We now have a family plan it is ~$125 a month (unlimited text/700mins/ulimited data on my phone and 200mb on the wifes).

4.2.1 I want an untethered jailbreak though. I don't want to have to plug it into a pc everytime I boot it up to use the "free" apps etc.Bradstard wrote:You can jailbreak from an Windows PC or a Mac. What IOS are you on?
Is this possible as of yet with a pc?

Re: Technology Thread
I'm keeping an eye out for a used iPod. My 16GB touch is no longer working well due to size limits. I don't listen to Last.FM in the car. I prefer to just a band that suits my mood and rock on.Erik95LS wrote:<---desperately needs a 160gb iPod, but will have to wait for awhile.
