Whats the weight?

And no ABS is that right?

Definitely more potential in the K series engine, but Id have to think the double wishbone in the DC2 would have the advantage.

Canadian review said 2574 lbs. (they also quoted a taller final drive ratio)and no ABS.
I agree about the engine and suspension. There's also the 6 speed. And one would have more difficulty finding mods. for a left hand drive JDM (like a supercharger with HONDATA tune).
Also body style of ITR has grown on me, RSX kinda' has a "Chunky Monkey" look.
Link below is '01 ITR vs. RSX (HONDA) R, hope it works.

2574 lbs.? I thought they weighed more than our DC2 R's?

I need to see if I can find this vid of 4 Type R's in a race: stock DC5 and DC2 and Spoon-modded of each, respectively. Both the Spoon DC2 and the stock DC2's beat the DC5's :D

I have a vid by "Best Motoring" that does a head to head with the new and old Type R, the Japanese engineer doing the test drive is crazy, he redlines the car in every gear, keeps it in the red for like 15 minutes, it's a great video, but I have it on VHS and it would be too much trouble to try to post it.

The main argument that the engineer had for the new ITR (not RSX in Japan) is that it was designed to be the ITR from day one on that platform, then the lower models were designed from that platform. The old ITR was not designed to be the ITR, it was just a plain integra design that was modified to R specs (hand built)

Yeah, which one? I was leaning toward the ITR, but did you guys check the lap times in above link? Looks like the newer engine and six speed more than make up for any disadvantange in suspension. And Jan may have a point. And there's the Recaro seats and Brembo's on the RSX-Honda(and all the other zooty JDM stuff).

Unfortunately, I have not driven the new R, so I can't say which is better.

Id have to drive the new Type R before choosing. When you look at the specs... 220hp, similar weight, 6speed, bigger wheels/tires, brembo brakes... its rather enticing over the DC2R. I would surely hope that with all the development costs into the new integra that it would be faster, and post better lap times.

Yeah, but you guys seem to forget how watered down our interiors, exhaust systems, front-end design, options, etc., got compared to the JDM versions of the DC2-R. Expect the same for the "RSX" Type R and our cars don't look so bad ;)

I actually like the "round eye" look of my USDM R. I think the unattractive part of the DC2 is the ass end, I think the new R has a nicer ass.

Acctually i like the ass better than the front, i don't particularly like the round headlights over the long ones, just my opinion though
