So whats the deal with HID conversions being 1k over the reg price at times... i mean if you put aftermarker bulbs on a non HID ITR do you get good results or the stock HID is pretty much made to outperform any lightning from a non HID conversion with aftermarket bulbs?

When did this because of "Advertise businesses here" forum?
Advert content deleted and thread locked. Sorry but with a username of HIDs posting a phone number to a company that sells HIDs strikes me as straight out advertising considering you created the thread just to generate interest in this companies kits. Kits that use retarded 5600k bulbs even.
Type R 98: HID conversions (not just aftermarket bulbs) work far better than halogens. If you want function, go for 4100-4300K bulbs, higher color temps look more retarded.. err.. "cool" but put out less lumens. OEM HID setups will still work better because the projectors were designed for HID usage vs halogen bulbs. To accomplish that you can swap certain Audi/BMW/etc HID projectors into the stock housings with some modifications.
And BTW: There is no info that I could find on DOT's website regarding any attempt to make Xenon headlights illegal. HID retrofits have always been illegal and always will be. This is not something that's new.
And therefore, since that is not changing, they will continue to be sold as offroad use items just as they have been for years.
